Kanye proved Sway right cause Kanye didn't own shyt and was and is still trying to make deals with European owned brands
No. No no no. Kanye knew EXACTLY what he was talking about in that interview and HE proved it with Yeezy. But unfortunately he’s also is a lunatic. Any other businessman would have been happy using Adidas’ infrastructure to execute their vision and be a billionaire 2,3,4 times over.

Ie Rihanna. She doesn’t outright own Fenty. She partners with LVMH—-like dozens of other high end Non-black brands.

Ie Kylie Jenner…”Jenner embarked on her first, independent business venture by launching Kylie Cosmetics in partnership with Seed Beauty.

It’s oooooonly some Ngga shyt where mfers expect you to own it outright and do it all yourself. Kanye knew that when he talked to Sway….but that Dame influence kicked in and he burned it to the ground….just like Dame. But hey, at least now he’s the boss :obama:

IDGAF about "the cause" but the lack of humility and outright lies never cease to amaze me

Rap is all about over the top boasting and half truths. So why should Black men be humble? :mjpls:

Because if a Black man succeeds in the US against cacs fighting them and all the other odds against them then let them boast about it.

And cacs always push that btw towards Black people. So they won't mention their success or show pride in it and boast about it because it'll make the cacs feel jealousy and anger that they weren't able to stop black men from succeeding.

And interestingly with cac nerds they talked about the Rock (who's not even fully Black) being "humbled" by the Black Adam mess because they hated that he refused to play second fiddle to some 3rd comic book character like shazam and wanted to do his own thing instead. :mjpls:

So they were gleeful about it in a way that they've never been with a cac actor who's publicly been stopped from succeeding.

Why ya'll acting obtuse? Op point is these guys run around acting like they own shyt when they are really just a spokesperson.

Anybody with common sense knows most celebs are spokespersons.
It's extremely difficult for one person or entity to run several unrelated businesses. It just depends on what their deal is as far as residuals and representation. Do you think celebs are in the kitchen mixing chemicals together to create their own perfume blends? No. Another company does it, asks the celeb if they like the smell, and then slaps the person's name on it for promo. Shyt even Trump just slaps his name on buildings other people have built after buying the naming rights.

Plus 1 minute of a Google search would clearly tell you who is al behind Ciroc.

Steve Jobs didn’t own Apple outright, in fact he got booted from his own company. I don’t ever hear people talking about him not being a boss.

I just don’t get the logic of talking down on billionaires because they don’t own 100% of something.

SOHH ICEY N.O.
nah, Hov was saying he owns this shyt then claimed the company undervalued his brand.

Diddy is basically trying to get the same payout with his deal
He did own it. He publicly sold it to Bacardi, but he still maintained 50 or so stake in the product.

The law suit was from him trying to sell half of that, but they tried to lowball and play with the numbers and he sued to get them to open the books.

The settler out of court cause they didn’t wanna open the books and he still own like 25 % in it.

How is that the same as diddy who doesn’t own the product and is suing another reason.

So jay-Z and Diddy lied. Thats your argument?

If they told the truth about their partnerships as MASCOTS, that would change things.

Is being a mascot, success?

Diddy was a damn employee.

Bingo

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with being an EMPLOYEE  or a MASCOT  or being on PAYROLL  . The problem is lying to fans, consumers and everyone in-between about being "bosses" and "leaders" and "owners" when they're just collecting income. They're not running businesses.

I don’t understand this thread. Jayz owned 50% of Dusse and his dispute was about the sale price of his ownership share which they settled. How does someone selling ownership shares conclude then being a mascot?

In the meantime breh what are you thoughts about this paintings?

20230529-215630.jpg

This is a wonderful piece of artwork,I would be honored if you allowed me to purchase it for 20K?

I like making fun of christianity and using eurocentric art and combining it with Vodou deities. I saw some religious art at the Smithsonian in DC and said one day Imma paint me as the "Black Messiah". I wanna save my people with visual art. The Skull Face King was the identity I came up with. Mostly cause the Baron Samedi chose me to be his Avatar or Human container

On second thought offer retracted. We dont allow those type of spirits in our home. See how quickly you can miss out on your blessings playing with god:respect:
