I just got back from seeing it, and now I understand the hype and emotion. I also understand the heroe and the villian's side.

:wow:

Oh, and I went to the 11:30 am showing, the film started at 11:40 after previews, and folks were still coming in 15 minutes later, and making noise while finding their seats. One of the first changes our people need to make is showing up on time.

Damn seem like people just can’t be excited about the film.

Like Chadwick said in an interview, people keep talking about all the money going in the hands of white people even though one of the head guys at Marvel is black.

Chadwick even said how this film will allow him to help the people in his hometown in South Carolina and I’m sure Coogler and MBJ will do their part as well.

I’m sure most people know this film isn’t going to magically change society but this can definitely inspire a lot of this new generation of young kids.

People will say it’s just a movie but remember that entertainment and media can have a big impact.

Last point it seems like on the coli y’all ain’t satisfied. Not a slave movie, no typical story in the hood or none of that. Major black cast, black director, black writers.

No so called “lbgt” agenda or whatever. Just a dope movie with black people doing dope shyt.

Black Excellence :wow:

This is so disrespectful and on Huey’s birthday no less.

It’s interesting the way we have fell for superficial revolution.

We have lost all connection with the ideals of Black Power, Sankofa etc. and it all happened so quick. The ideals of today are be ignorant to what’s actually going on just to “feel good” and “have fun”.

nikkas ain’t looking for actual tangible results or cause and effect. Just feel good moments. What the fukk.

I’m baffled.

They have RBG Nike’s now. Like they have commercialized our rebellion and struggle nikkas are applauding it.

What’s next a SUPREME Marcus Garvey Tee?

Malcolm X x Rayban Advertisements?

And I can see you nikkas mad at people who were against it.

It’s like the irony of Che Guevara shirt lol.

It’s just a fukking movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goddam. I feel like Huey on the Boondocks.

Ima comic book nerd. As a comic book nerd I can’t wait to see the movie.

As a black man, it’s whatever it’s just a movie man.

I could never imagine blacks in the 60’s falling for this.

nikkas back then were AGAINST GOING TO THE MOON!!! Lol. They said why couldn’t we use that money for the ghetto. Because they were focused and smart. Even at their worst. Drunks, Pimps, Gangsta’s all were conscious.

Now nikkas just go with anything

only thing i hate is black people throwing up the black fist trying to compare this to the black panther party of the 70s, which these nikkas need to be slapped for.

i didn't see marvel outside in the communities this week serving kids breakfast on they way to school...

they wasn't protecting neighborhoods for the racist cops and nikkas harming innocent blacks

just enjoy the movie and what the movie is about, but don't disrespect huey, bobby , angela, etc, etc with it tho
