I love it how they were low-key dissing white folks the entire film.

I saw it in a theater that was 80% cac's .

I can't remember the last time I went to a movie premiere that the room was quiet from start to finish . It was like everyone was on the edge of their seats the whole time.


Everyone who stayed till the end of the credits gave it a huge ovation .

Straight up. Saw it in a mostly cac theater too. Could hear a pin drop and some nervous laughter here and there. Mexicans were digging it though lol

I liked how they humanized Michael B. Jordan's character and while he was badass, didn't turn him into an all-around a$$hole. There were actually legitimate reasons behind his actions. Great movie.

When the movie credits finished rolling a lot of us stood there just staring the blank screen, some people legit crying.

Some random dude said "We gotta do better family, let's all focus on us for now on" nikkas started clapping and shyt, it was powerful

I'm willing to bet most of the haters of this film had advance tickets to see Batman Begins/The Dark Knight when it came out

But now, all of a sudden, there's an issue with giving white execs your money

It's pretty obvious that people like that do not enjoy seeing black people in any positive successful light. Media is a powerful tool and this film is important off that alone
