Since Windows 8 is fairly new, the store is pretty light. I cannot wait until more companies release apps catered to Metro UI, that's when it is really going to take off.

Good apps of bat,
Netflix
Xbox smart glass
Google search
Tunein radio
Skype

My only gripe is that I'm running the os on an 27 inch iMac, they need to realse an updated catering to video/graphic drivers issue.

lol figured u would say those, i have all of those already, they did a nice job on the skype

im literally about to throw all my mac shyt into the bushes. im hooked on windows 8!

:whoa:

I like Windows 8 Metro UI too, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
My iMac and MacBook Pro is still top notch on the market,
and the OS is flawless.
But Metro UI is sweet but until they add more apps for Metro and get rid of desktop mode there is not a reason to give up on mac.
Theres not even a reason to give up on Windows 7 yet because it still "just works".

whats does the app do?

its a toolbox. has a calculator , weather, Facebook, browser couple of other things. idea is that you dock on your home screen and use it as a productivity tool . U.I is beautiufl on most of them but needs better implementation

on a sidenote, nobody is having performance issues on machines they installed windows 8? There is huge issue happening with a lot of HP laptops where our screen brightness stays at either full or lowest brightness settings no in between. I have that issue now and there is no easy fix available yet.

Also my laptop lags a slight bit during ceartin process and i have pretty decent specs i5 processor, 8 gigs of a ram, 1TB drive

Are your drivers all up to date? I was noticing some performance issues too on my one year old Samsung laptop but got Uniblue DriverScanner 2012 - Download Software, Update PC Drivers and everything is running pretty well. Been using TuneUp too.

and my laptop is hp beats edition laptop and windows 8 delete my beats audio software but that doesn't bother me as much as the brightness issue which is murdering my battery

I'd make a post in the Microsoft support forums(even though its ass and they probably wont be any help, just start the paper trail); then i'd call hp and/or ms and tell them whats happening and let them be aware of the problems.
