I have not been following this story at all, but I got unfriended on facebook when I suggested the whole sh!t didnt make sense. The story was two maga hat wearing cacs carrying a noose around recognized him from TV at a bar, they followed him and started calling him racist and homophobic slurs and then attempted to lynch him. lol
