Pacing is definitely slow, but as someone totally unfamiliar with the source material, it's copasetic if you let it breathe. Definitely picks up episode 4.

It's getting better. The 1st 30 minutes was rough awful.

Umbrella Academy still the best writing by a mile. A lot of it you don't appreciate till you rewatch it.
