Who are some good artists to check out right now? I'm still on shyt from 2014 lol

me personally i been listening to alot of stuff from latin america, im not sure how folks will take it who dont speak spanish but this is some stuff i been slappin, because im making a transition from hip hop to footwork, it required me over the last 2 years to basically work backwards and grabbing all the footwork i can. i looked at my bandcamp and i have 430 purchases starting from 2018.



really liked this bad bunny remix by dj chi-c, a nikka who aint been seen in ages.

this release from rolow is dope, shoutout to my nikka @Majestyx for agreeing



on here there is a remix to project pat "fukk that nikka" peopel just dont know how much influence 3-6 has in so many genres

So as an update since 2018.

Traxman and DJ Earl put out a lot of releases, mostly through Bandcamp.

LA DJ, Cakedog, put out a compilation of his footwork tracks back in 2019, called "Doggystyle".



DJ Phil, after a somewhat long hiatus, put out an EP in 2019 called 'Back to the Beginning'.



DJ Innes put out a comp in 2019 called 'Shouts Out!'



DJ Nate, another one who seemingly was on hiatus from releasing much material, put out a great album on Planet Mu called 'Take Off Mode'.



One of my favorite releases since 2018 was RP Boo's "I'll Tell You What!"



Teklife has put out a few free compliations at the beginning of the past few years. Here's 2019 and 2020.

Innes is dope, but that DJ Phil "Can You Feel It" is classic. that song was appearing on random mixes over the last 6 years and it finally dropped in 2019.

FIrst and foremost, fukk with the originators. CHICAGO PEOPLE. Beatdown, Teklife... everything else could be said is just a derivative of their shyt.

Iyer is the homie, Cakedog kinda studied under RP Boo. but in general stick to chicago producers and djs

nikka, ive spent the last hour looking for a sensual seduction remix that dj deeon did that literally one mix still had and thank god i downloaded it, i hit deeon and told him ill pay you whatever for it and he didint respond on dm, that shyt was legit scrubbed from the internet, even russian mirrors the only one that still exists is one that Mister Ries did. Real talk im just gonna do my own since i hit up 0h85 and told him that on footworkfusion cloud its gone, i do talk to the homie hassan a bit so i can ask him as im supposed to interview him and hes shown me ALOT of love but im legit frustrated ! nikkas just be deleted entire songs off the internet. like these 2 neuropunk tracks
