Dementia is some other shyt. It only gets worse with time. This is someone who can literally get up and walk out the house and you don't see them again until the police call you that they were picked up in some random location.

Its getting a lot better tho. in the last 10 years, we went from no treatment and hospice plans to 3 new drugs on the market to combat it; with many more in fda trial pipeline.

I compare the current state of dementia care to how high blood pressure and stroke was treated in the 90s prior to the revolution of lipitor and similar drugs that gave older people their lives back.

Thanks for the update on treatments. Had an aunt with this shyt about a decade before she died. Was hell on her son (only child). Dude tried to move in with her for a bit but eventually had to put her in a home.
