Floyd fought Cotto and let him wear the MX gloves. Since when in boxing history has a fighter barred another fighter from wearing 2 specific brands of gloves....but allowed another opponent to wear them
What's next? Floyd ain't gonna let Khan and Pacquiao wear their standard Reyes gloves either because they have horse hair?

Khan and Alexander survived Maidana in MX gloves. Broner went the full 12 rounds with Maidana even after being dropped twice....he still went the distance. Why is Floyd then so scared of Maidana in the gloves?

By making sure Maidana fights in Powelocks over MX/Reyes gloves, it takes away ANY chance of Maidana (and it was slim already) beating Floyd. His chances of acquiring a KO goes down significantly and means this fight is already in the bag for Floyd since punches from Powerlock gloves are easier to take than punches from Maidana's normal gloves.
