JR commentary in AEW is an abomination

...matter of fact, Callis would KILL in AEW.

But Callis is trash too, though.

JR's main problem is that he was never really all that great of a play by play guy, but he excels at selling characters, storylines, and moments. As of right now, AEW has some cool high spots, but they're not really there yet for storylines or characterization that he can latch on to. That'll probably change once they have weekly TV.

Even when his voice was going out, doing New Japan, he was better than JR in every single way.

He sells moments exponentially better, and is entertaining as fukk, no question.

JR should be like the color or 3rd man... You have play by play, color usually a heel, and a expert/vet type guy who adds anecdotal information or they ask him good opinion but is usually quiet

As much as I shyt on Mike Tenay, he is the perfect third person in the booth guy.

Shiiiid, Exacalibur the weak link on the announce team. Why is a commentator going by one name and wearing a mask? Not everybody knows or cares about his backstory. Plus dude was like in another world calling “All Out”. Something great would happen and he’d be silent or talk about something other than what just happened

I agree I think they should let Schiavone and Excalibur do the commentary, maybe have JR on there as a third man or for a big match where someone has to yell BAH GAWD.

But he ain't any worse than this Cole/Renee/Graves unit

I was watching that NXT UK show... Right now I'mma say Nigel and Vic Joseph are the best team out there.

He is worse because he doesn’t seem to ever know any of the characters and storylines and moves that well . He should stick to the interviews

He’s definitely overrated and looks dumb with the mask on.
