Joss Whedon on why a Hulk movie wouldn't work

They already made movies for that they're called Commando and Predator.


As for Hulk being unbalanced there's that built in excuse of "The madder Hulk gets the stronger he is". The problem is they've never outright stated it in the films.

Then you got Ang Lee's dumb ass trying to twist it into Hulk physically becoming bigger all the time. Ang Lee's Hulk was about twice the size of Whedon's.

those are not as literal as i want

i want a contra movie, with guns that get upgraded with power ups, enemy cyborgs, boss battles with enemies or vehicles as big as a building

this is something that has great potential.

if someone the Hulk is emotionally attached to is in danger then you can show the Hulk's power and demonstrate his emotions through his strength...and make it work in a movie.
