Von Miller doesn’t have the same power and influence like Dana White does for ESPN to put their foot in talent’s necks to defend him.

Some of those ESPN writers admitted that ESPN didn’t want them covering the story due to the deal they have with White and UFC. You can also tell by how all of the talent covered the topic on their network.
Of course everyone knows why they held the stance they did. Some are just calling out their hypocrisy. If “hitting a woman is wrong no matter what” then we can hold their feet to the fire when it involves someone close to home (cac athlete or owner)…
Everybody is seeming to be careful with the story. I’m reading it myself trying to catch up on it. People are trying to compare domestic violence with grown people to this case.. you simply can’t do that. If this dude beat up a grown woman I’d be saying the same thing everybody else is saying about it. The dang story ain’t even straight and dude is still playing somehow. Seems that people need to be more on OKC and the NBA’s ass over all these other people.. The NBA will get to win though no matter what happens to this dude. I’m not on the guys side btw, I never followed his career and know nothing about him outside of this case. Something about this is crazy to me though. I mean I covered the Miles Bridges case.. even he sat down for a minute and people were mad because he was still affiliated with the team. Why is dude still playing through this? That’s all that matters to me.
I think it’s more important to point out the difference in coverage black men get vs what other races get over Kiddey being suspended or not. Allegations were made against him and they wouldn’t even report them yet Von Miller gets accused and they immediately say “you just can’t do that”

Von Miller wasn't just accused though. There was an active warrant out for his arrest and includes details of what he was accused of from the victim itself. Even in the case of Bridges, the accuser posted the accusations and pictures on social media and he was initially charged.

A better example to use would be Wander Franco and ESPN did report on the story and MLB sat him out. These other examples people are using aren't even comparable.

Gloria Allred loves press conferences, so it's only a matter of time before she starts talking and the criticism increases on the NBA for keeping him out there.

Ignorance may not be an excuse for the law but it is to me morally. People are acting like he rides around school zones in a pickup truck looking for young girls. If this was 2 years ago he himself was a teenager, possibly 18.

People are right to call out the medias bias tho. I get it but it's no need to take your frustration of the media out on him. These are 2 separate issues.

I thought the family was like "no snitching"
Whose to say that still isn't the case and they're just using Allred as a buffer between them and the police and to work out a settlement as well?

It's an active investigation so they'd be a fool not to have gotten a lawyer especially since the police is asking questions and noting that they aren't talking.

No, the family has a minor daughter involved sexually with a professional basketball player. They closed up shop to protect her identity as much as possible, keep there family name semi clean and get paid off this whole thing.

:mjlol: some of y'all really thought they decided not to talk because they were "cool" with it?
