Destroyed by who? I take this thread to be about Hawley being the republican nominee, so people saying it will be desantis have a point - red states and red voters didn’t/don’t care about covid. And sadly, covid will be one of those short term memories for Americans. With being 3 years into vaccination by then, we’ll remember disruption to our lives more than packed hospitals and deaths

You act like the 2024 primary won't be highly contested. Any GOP nominee is going to hammer DeSantis (or Noem, an equally laughable nominee) on his covid response because they already know Covid will be the biggest issue for their base come January 20, 2021.
All Hawley has to do is attack DeSantis on his covid response (gets the moderates on his side) and something something "working class" (which will make the cosplay socialists wet AF) and he's got the nomination.
