I live in the United States
Even though the Cowboys didnt know *allegedly* that he was there, am I the only one that doesnt see the issue?

Jerry Brown's mom said she forgives him and wants the team to support him.

The team supported hm

What is the problem?

I made a thread here called "The cowboy soap opera continues"
Well after that thread, I peeped how my initial thoughts were on point.
Jerry Jones called up the Chiefs owners to ask how he delt with the situation so he can do try that on his players. If Jerry really cares about his players, its one thing
But he doesn't give a shyt that Dez Bryant could lose use of his fingers, thus losing his career
He went at Ratliff just the other day saying he needed him cuz his replacement (Brent) is jailbound. The way he said it, sparked a beef that almost came to blows

Its also clear the TEAM hates him. And I think he's the reason the team doesn't really give a shyt when they lose. Its still sort of a win/win in there eyes. Now whats the problem? Jerry. He's a drama king :hula:

he's right tho (altho not as responsible, waaaay too harsh)

Brent didnt kill some innocent driver in another car that went to Wawa to get milk for his/her young child, he killed the dude that was beside him. Jerry Brown showed poor judgement getting in that car.

Thats not to blame Brown for dying, im clearly not, but he isnt exactly innocent here.

Also, I think what really bothers me is how people are completely dismissing the mom's feelings like they dont matter.

His boy was probably drunk too and he chose to get in a car with a drunk driver. He's just as responsible. I've been a passenger and driver in the situation. That's the chance you take. It is what it is..

He is not "just as responsible"

He may not be completely without blame, and he obviously made a poor decision, but to say he's just as responsible as a FRIEND who DROVE DRUNK and KILLED HIM is ridiculous.

They showed the family of Brown on the news here in Dallas, and they were laughing and carrying on. Grandmother and mom said..they weren't mad at Brent "AT ALL" they were like he didn't go on the road trying to kill Jerry and Josh could've died as well. They were like if anyone has the right to be mad or angry at Brent it was them but they weren't angry in the least so no one else should be.

I saw this interview on Friday night on the news. So on Sunday when I saw Brent on the slidelines I had no problem with it. If I didn't see how forgiving the family was I would've been :smh:

Cowboys should've put him in a box somewhere. Having him on the sidelines just draws negative attention and isn't necessary at all.

i actually was agreeing with the breh, i have feel the way u do about it. as irresponsible as it is, the majority of us have all driven or been in a car with someone who has drank, atleast in my high school days i did. so thats why i put the guilty smiley there, i try to avoid it as much as possible now.

i agree about the mom as well, if she can forgive the man thats great, and really, all that matters. im sure brown having the support of his mom is helping him in this grieving process. his decision led to his friend, a son/father/husband dying and him walking away. if he also had to deal with the family hating his guts who knows where dudes mind would be at now. its very brave of her to do what she did, shes stronger than a lot of people in that situation.

Yeah, I saw that too. They didn't seem disturbed or mad in any way at Josh and even said the Jerry wouldn't have wanted the family to hate him for what happened.

I really give the family credit for not blaming and exiling Josh Brent from their family. Not saying I'd do the same thing in their position, but as much as he made a terrible decision and should be punished for it, he's still human and does need friends and family at a time like this. I think him being on the sideline may not have looked good, but I really don't have a problem with it considering the circumstances of the Brown family and their lack of spite and resentment towards the person who was at fault for their sons death.

Some a yall make no sense....

The dude drank under the influence, killed someone and it's all gravy cuz dude's parents are cool with it? LOL

It's simply not a good look to embrace someone in that manner who made a really severe mistake that cost someone's life. Who gives a fukk what the family thinks? It's almost as if he's being treated like a victim in all of this.
