The men Jordan made his legacy on...

1991 1st round: Trent Tucker, Gerald Wilkins
1991 Semifinals: Hersey Hawkins
1991 ECF: Joe Dumars
1991 Finals: Byron Scott

1992 1st round: Brian Shaw
1992 Semifinals: Gerald Wilkins
1992 ECF: Craig Ehlo
1992 Finals: Clyde Drexler

1993 1st round: Stacy Augmon
1993 Semifinals: Craig Ehlo
1993 ECF: John Starks

Today's guards wouldn't stand a chance.

That's because Jordan redefined the position, he had these type of PFs and Centers always waiting at the rim though:

And slap yourself if you think Dumars, Drexler, Hawkins and ESPECIALLY Thunder Dan wouldn't thrive in today's no touch league.

Damn OP, you swung at this one :snoop:

Context man, teams NEVER built around an All Star SG until MJ, that's why you had mechanics and cable repairmen at that position. He dominated during a big-heavy era, and after that teams and GMs found that you can actually build around a SG to be successful (Kobe).

That's like the reverse today saying Draymond's opposition during the GSW title runs, where the league now is focused on shooters rather than bigs.

But I digress, MJ did play against scrubs though :mjlol:

I'm thinking you got the premise of this thread wrong. I think OP was saying that he faced impressive competition. I could be wrong.

Lol it is

Hersey Hawkins, Wilkins, Drexler, Ehlo, Majerle, Starks, Augmon were all decent-good although iirc augmon was a 3
There are a few notable names in there, and the rest are mediocrity and trash. Regardless, if you named the equivalent SGs of today and called it a "good list", you'd probably be laughed off this board.
