That middy
The left corner fadeaway...
All those possessions where he scored in 1 or 2 dribbles
That post up,turnaround, fadeaway jumper

I'll also have to put Larry Bird on that list as well.He and Bernard King are the best middie shooters Ive ever seen
And people come on this forum and take up for him. Dude was the original weed plateMy favorite part of this graphic is seeing jerry stackhouse's location on it.

51% midrange from the 75 games sampled in 1992, OP even managed to track a bunch of other stuff as well. Pretty insane stuff and 1992 isn't exactly the season people think of when they think of peak MJ
1ST 3PEAT MJ WAS DEFINITELY PEAK JORDAN.
HE HAD THE ELITE JUMP SHOT
WHILE STILL IN HIS ATHLETIC PRIME.
I have no doubt if we had access to what he was shooting from midrange in 87-88, 88-89, 89-90, 90-91, it will be in the mid 50's or even 56% or 57%RealGM Forums

As a UNC Stan I had high hopes for him and VCAnd people come on this forum and take up for him. Dude was the original weed plate
Which clowns said this? MJ one of the hardest working players ever, wouldn't be able how to figure out how to shoot the 3ball at a solid clip?Certain people have the audacity to say MJ wouldn't be able to weaponize a 3 ball when big oafs like DeMarcus Cousins, Brook Lopez, and Nikola Vucevic are bombing threes after literally one offseason of practice
Nah.
KD himself is a better shooter than MJ. KD has the mid-range and the 3ball. MJ's mid range is GOAT but wasn't a great 3pt shooter.
Only time he shot well from 3 was when they shortened the line those few years in the 90s
HE SHOT 37% FROM THE 3 IN 97.
His shot and shot selection were masterful.
Was that when the line was moved back out? I know there were some years he shot 40% but the 3-point line was moved in and was more like a long 2 in today's game.
its only insufferable to Bron fans, everyone else is enjoying the look back at Jordan.
Only Lebron fans are making this seem painful
speaking of which
LOL
"He was a pure shooter," Durant said. "I don't think anybody in the league at that point could shoot the ball better."
"Of the 59 NBA players who attempted at least 300 midrange shots that season, Jordan ranked third in overall efficiency, hitting 49.5% on over 1,100 tries. Only Chris Mullin and Vinny Del Negro were more accurate. Reggie Miller, commonly regarded as the finest shooter of that era, made 42.4% of his 484 midrange shots that season. Yep, Miller attempted 484 while Jordan made 547."
