On the surface it seems silly but after some thought he is sponsored by nike/gatorade after all, hes got to be overly apologetic and docile in the hope they dont do something reactionary like end his sponsorship deal..I mean this does happen from time to time in combat sports on a whole itcan only help the fight, right?Only you wouldnt know that by the reaction from the media.. Most of the good ole boys are trying to turn this into a blemish on the sport, with someone in ufc upper management threatening fines/sanctions? nsac saying there will be an investigation?
Perhaps its just damage limitations but why should there be? ufc/mma are long past the stage of having to put forward their best behavior. And how many times have we seen this in the ufc? why wasnt chael/wandi viewed in this way?

you right and i forgot all about the wandy-chael fiasco. where the fuk was ioles or any of the these others writers/bloggers article on wandy and chael when they did that shyt on tv. some of the comments on that iole article are ridiculous as hell. someone actually had to say it was a black eye for the sport

Im pulling for cormier to come out this fight with a win. But im a realist, and I see this fight as another Jones domination because of that dude's reach ( I see this fight going the same as Jones v Rashad). 84" is a lot of ground to cover. Cormier can be a 10x Olympic gold metal wrestler, but it wont matter when you can't even close to the dude to even apply your techniques. Rashad is a great wrestler also, and you see how that fight went. Then when you get that close, you are eating those elbows

Cormier's trying way too hard. Trying to convince himself Jones ain't the greatest since Anderson Silva. Cormier doesn't have to fear or respect Jones, but Jones been solidified his top spot so its just corny seeing Cormier smiling, shaking his head talking about he's just gonna beat Jones up. And again, Cormier definitely playing the Chael role. I think at one point he was beeeeeeeegging for a shot, and wasnt even lhw. Corny.
