Josh Allen doesn't get the same hate for not winning a title yet though like Lamar does. Just saying:hubie:
One is a two time MVP, while the other one isn’t.

Success and award accolades accelerates expectations and that’s always been the case in sports.

If you want to put Lamar on the same level as Mahomes like some people have been trying to do, then he needs to start winning SBs.

What PR does Jokic have?

He's the 3-time MVP and I've seen the guy in like 3 commercials. He leaves the country after the season and maybe 1 video of him at a Serbian bar goes viral in a summer.

Dude, I've seen more internet fervor around Travis Hunter in the last 2 months than I've seen about Nikola Jokic in 5 years.

Are we even living in the same world?

Shaq, who's a member of the media, literally shytted on Jokic when he interviewed him after winning the award :russ:

OP living in his own world :dead:

Unsurprisingly, The Coli playing dumb

Giannis has been getting trade rumors for the last five years

Jokic blows a 20-point lead in a Game 7, and it's "here's a 4th MVP"

Lamar had to bet on himself, even after winning the "MVP" that ya love throwing around, even though Josh has been the media's preseason pick for MVP the last three years.

Was accused of not being "Quarterbacky" enough:mjpls:. Some shyt I've never heard before

Ya'll on some bullshyt

MVP is a regular season prize : :dahell:

Or else Lamar would have zero MVPs, so your argument is 100% contradictory :unimpressed:

Jokic outscored the rest of Nuggets 21-16 in that 2nd half in game 7. And 14 in the 4th qtr. Murray and Porter are the ones who went Ghost in that series.

I’ll address the basketball shyt

Regular season MVP isn’t determined by playoff outcomes

Off the top of my head I’m not sure Jokic has ever come into the season as the MVP favorite—I feel like Luka has been that guy the past few years; Jokic has to play his way to the top

From a distance, the trade rumors around Giannis have seemed more to do with folks being concerned about the Bucks having the right pieces around Giannis to content for chips

*sighs* Lack of comprehension is an illness on this site

Slowly, for you: Jokic is shielded from criticism. A 3x MVP blowing a 20-point lead at home in a Game 7 would never hear the end of it, and there would be a "voter fatigue" narrative with him.

Josh Allen beat the Chiefs and Lions with a lot of people watching...it's similar to how Lamar won last year defeating the 49ers in primetime. I think Lamar has been better this year but it's whatever. He still has a chance to win MVP if he balls out these next three games and especially on Christmas. I want Lamar to win but also I don't cause he really needs to get that Superbowl and a third MVP and first round exit would damage his legacy.

Jokic advanced stats are always ridiculous and basketball has become much more analytical so he'll always get the lead there. I think Giannis or SGA will win MVP this year though cause Nuggets don't have a great team.
