13 playoff games in, I’m still waiting for a team to target Jokic on defense like the coli told me they wouldHe would get PnR to death they said LOLOLOL
Jokic is in another galaxy when it comes to his peers.
He's not a Denver fan, he's a Joker stan. Nothing wrong with being a fan of best players in the league, but this bumping old threads shyt would get you banned on other forums like realgm, etc. It's unnecessary spamming.
Role players like KCP had some good games, Murray was GREAT in the series. Porter was OK too, Brown did his thing too. How about complimenting those too? He's gonna make it all about Jokic, just like Kobe stans or Bron stans downplaying their supporting cast.
These are the type of series' where cats like AG, Brown and KCP need their flowers. The definition of momentum changers.
Don't forget Bruce Brown.
The Holy Trinity of role players.
If Denver go on to win the championship, they'll be the backbone of it. Throughout history there's always those 2-3 players that tie everything together on a championship squad.
Aaron Gordon's performance in this series hasn't been talked about enough.
Not only has he held KD to 40% shooting when matched up with him (22 out of 55 field goals), but he's constantly stopped KD from getting into a rhythm and made him work tirelessly to get his shot off. He's also come down the other end and bullied KD in the paint, backing him down at every opportunity that he can, forcing KD to exhaust his tank even more. He's been a key figure in the majority of Denver's runs too in each of the five games, hence leading both teams in plus-minus at +71. He genuinely might be their second-most important player.
He's finally found his niche in the league over the last 2-3 seasons. Those Matrix comparisons he had back in college are coming to fruition.
KCP is just a winning player. That's the most apt description of him. Every team needs someone like him.
KCP, Brown and Gordon are the Holy Trinity of role players.
Phoenix is gonna need three role players that can go toe-to-toe with Gordon, KCP and Brown. They've been the main reason Denver is up 2-0.
AG once again doing a helluva job on KD.
Denver has a better overall defense.
The Warriors' defense fell apart whenever Dray wasn't on the floor, and the mileage over the years caught up to them on that end. Poole pretty much killed every lineup he was in too; Denver doesn't have anyone remotely as bad as him. Whereas the Nuggets probably have the best defensive perimeter trio in the playoffs (AG, KCP and Brown), so whenever any two or all three are in the lineup, they should remain grounded on that end of the floor. They're a naturally hungrier team wanting to prove themselves, so they'll fight more too, and as we know effort is half the battle.
Braun's value is almost entirely on defense and Uncle Jeff is more or less a defensive talisman now.
Even MPJ is playing passable defense now too, but a lot of that is based upon how involved he is on offense to keep him engaged in the game.
Denver's most impressive win of the postseason.
To come back against that bullshyt ass 1st quarter where the officials tried to take them out of the game was something else. Most teams would've folded right there and then. Jokic held them down for the first 2-3 quarters, and Murray and the role players came over the top in the 4th. Just an overall great team effort that'll they look back on if they manage to make the Finals as one of the key wins of their campaign.
I've probably given the Nuggets role players more credit than anyone else on this board throughout this playoff run. Go figure.Murray wants all that Booker smoke; Gordon playing like he's 10ft tall; Jokic wants some get-back for what happened in 2021. It's going to take some otherworldly shyt from Booker and KD to drag this back, because they're at significant physical and mental disadvantage.
Nuggets in 4
This the wrong thread thought this was the finals joint
