i think the problem with Johnny wasn't so much himself but the direction that his label wanted to take

the problem is they wanted him to follow the Bobby Brown's and the whole New Jack City movement and it was awkward for him.....
he even complained about the fact that New Edition didn't utilize his balladeer style to it's fullest potential............
and i agree...but i will say that video of RUB U THE RIGHT WAY is funny as hell...
when u mute that button.....i know damn well with all that jigging and dancing he did...
he dried the fukk outta that synthetic jheri curl juice and conditioner in his head.......
