RIP a real one. I wonder if dudes like Spoon
(who aren't necessarily mentioned w/ the Chapelles, Murphys, Martin's, etc.) truly knew how many lives he touched?
I hope so, because he was a legend to
us in the black community. He made generations of black ppl
laugh (especially younger ones), and held a sentimental place in hearts for his role portrayals.
No easy feat. I didn't know too many
Cosbys growing up...but
everybody in my circle had a black elder figure, like
"Pops" in their family (
a dad, an uncle, a grandfather).
He was an embodiment of the black experience in the U.S. (at least the one I know) for younger ppl growin up. The world is truly, a less funnier place w/ out him. He'll be missed. Salute....
