Saw it with wifey last night. We both gave it a 8/10.
1) I agree with 90% of what has already been said in here.
2) Better than 2, not better than 1.
3) Scenes with the dogs/knife shop fight scenes were legendary.
4) The expansion of the world of assassins was bittersweet. One the one hand, as was said, the exclusivity you felt about the assassin community from the first movie was part of its great appeal. On the other hand, the introduction of the new characters offers exciting new side stories (e.g., how does one BECOME an adjudicator? How much power do they truly wield?)
That's another possible twist....that both Winston and the Bowery King are secretly plotting to take them down, from the inside (Winston) and outside (Fishburne), and are using Wick to achieve that end, unbeknownst to Wick.
I mean, damn.....they simply helped Wick and got reprimanded harshly. Can't imagine the punishment for killing an Adjudicator.
