Last week was supposed to be the worst week.
New cases are down (unfortunately up in CA), but there's still 600k+ active cases...so of course a high number of people will be dying each day.
It looks like NY is past its peak.
And LOL @ anyone who thinks they are going to do autopsies on all of these people...the only way that will happen is if the family pays for it.

Ok then. Are cases going up? If cases are going up, cause for concern. If thry are dropping then hat makes more sense. We will see more deaths.
Eh, arguably. But it also keeps implying that they are sent to the ICU because of Coronavirus. It’s still hard to tell, but you can’t be sure definitively either way .
With that said, it doesn’t sound like if someone has cancer, then dies with no coronavirus symptoms, but because they test them for coronavirus and it came back positive, they attribute the death to coronavirus. Also, they normally don’t just randomly test for it. In most cases You have to be exhibiting serious symptoms, otherwise they send you home. So that should prevent SOME skewing of the numbers as well.
I would guess that trash doctors that can’t diagnose a problem are probably using this as an excuse though. Can’t figure out what’s wrong (or lazy), test for corona, it comes back positive. Well, that’s what it is. Then the patient dies from something else, not Coronavirus, because the doctor sucks.
There’s no way we’ll ever know how accurate these numbers are. But in time we could do some statistical analysis and compare normal death rates over time to the increase in deaths rates and estimate how many were a result of the virus.

There has been an enormous, unprecedented spike in TOTAL deaths in NYC. 17,000 extra deaths. An extra 450 than usual every day. 300% more than is usually recorded. A spike much bigger than even the # of deaths attributed to COVID. A spike that has never been recorded before, not in any flu season.
That spike indicates they are almost certainly UNDERCOUNTING the Covid deaths, unless you have some magical explanation for why deaths in NYC would suddenly quadruple in a matter of days. Even if doctors were a bunch of lying a$$holes and attributed every death in NYC to coronavirus, that wouldn't explain how they managed to suddenly quadruple NYC's normal death rate.
That spike is fukking insane. And that's as of April 4th, a good three weeks ago, it's gotten much worse since then. As of April 18th it was up to 17,200 extra deaths:

But if the numbers are true then you have to be of the train of thought that the virus is more widespread than thought. Since it’s estimated that around 0.1% will die from that. I’m now downplaying the virus but it is a major virus. People are going to die. Idk what y’all expect. Y’all the same people who get mad and up in arms when the US Army make a mistake and kill innocents..these are casualties of war/virus..all this fear mongering ain’t called for...America can’t be on pause until a vaccine become available. It’s important to remember when people say it’s just the flu that we have been waging war against the flu for decades. There are massive vaccination programs & info campaigns for it every year.

It is never going to be COVID 19 as cause of death on the death report, it will respiratory failure, heart failure due to COVID19. If someone comes to the hospital and they test positive for Covid19 and have symptoms, either die or get better they are a COVID19 patient.
Y'all need to understand they are not testing every random person that comes to the hospital. Only the people who have symptoms of Covid19.
