All this "I'm not turning heel because of kids" rhetoric is just that, a rhetoric. If Cena were to turn heel tomorrow it would not mean that the world would suddenly be out of fictional heroes. There are plenty of real and made up heroes to go around. Contrary to what Cena thinks about himself, these kids would move away from him in a snap of a finger if he ever became a bad guy. Just bring out someone dressed in a Santa Claus getup and its done.

So this heel turn is about Cena disappointing a couple hundred sick kids, who will get over their fictional hero becoming bad fairly quickly, versus refreshing a main event scene that has been stale because of him. The choice seems really easy to me.
Sick dying kids vs. complaining older males is an easy choice?

Cena turning heel isn't gonna all the sudden bring back a wrestling boom he'll just be the same person he is now except he'll be pulling on tights to win matches :heh:

I realize that. But I am pointing out that this narrative of Cena not going heel because he has a noble task to accomplish is garbage. He is marketed as a good guy and the kids eat it all up because they are kids. If WWE were to market someone else as the good guy tomorrow all these kids would change their tune. There is nothing inherently special about Cena being a face.

But Cena is literally the biggest celeb in Make A Wish all-time, most requested and all that. Sure they could replace him but dudes had a big impact on that organization.

Good for Cena. I am sure that if WWE had another face who went over everyone for years on end, the kids would love him too. Kids love a superman character. But at the end of the day, Batman > Superman.

So basically Cena shouldn't do something he loves doing because some people don't like his wrestling character :snoop:

You disgusting selfish bytches :scusthov:

Which is more selfish:

1. Cena being face for couple hundred make a wish kids at the the cost of boring millions

2. Plausibly being an interesting character for millions by turning heel at the cost of disappointing aforementioned couple hundred kids.

It is the first option that is the selfish one. Count it up.

Nevermind the sick kids. People need to understand that it makes absolutely NO business sense to turn Cena heel.

Where many murders occur
The WWF doesn't need to have some cartoony superhero leading the way at all times. There's nothing wrong with just having a roster of hungry wrestlers who want to be champion. The WWF title is supposed to be the star of the show, the drama comes from nikkas who will put their lives on the line to capture it.

Just like HHH doesn't have the aptitude to be a face, cener has never had the aptitude to be a Hulk Hogan. He just doesn't have it, but Vince has been trying to force it no matter what. And has failed miserably for almost a decade.

This isn't to say he'll be good as a heel, he will still suck and elicit the same kind of boos and eyerolls he gets now. But it's better than the current bullshyt.

There are boos of respect, like the type that Dibiase and Heenan would get. They'd get booed because their characters were evil, but deep down fans respected their entertainment abilities. cena will never get that kind of heat. When all is said and done, cener will be remembered for being Vince's pet, nothing more.

Repaired for accuracy purposes. :mjplz:

Cena is a star, deal with it you virgins. The youth loves him and he is the merchandise mover for the company. He'll probably turn heel when he loses his appeal like Hogan did but that's not going to be for a while. We have Punk to do the GOAT level heel work. #DealWithIt :smughickenbottom:
