Isn't that what finally got the rock over? He was a babyface that everyone hated then hr joined the nation of domination as a heel then he was loved overnight? I mean obviously it's a little different but fact is rock was a face that everyone hated until they breathed life into him. Cena doesn't even have to go full heel, just shake it up some.

Not the same thing at all.
Rock was there for 6 months getting booed, hadn't even been established. He had the leeway to get turned because it didn't make a difference at that point. Cena's been past the point of getting established for almost 10 years now.

As much as I want to see Cena go heel, the charity work trumps anything I want to see.

That's what it boils down to. I used to like cena, but dude is boring as hell now. So I admit I want to cheer for him but more importantly, I want to see a better product all around.

I said it wasnt the same situation. Still tho, cena turning heel wouldn't be permanent . Just think how huge it'll be when he would turn back face. At worst he'd be a tweener which would still allow dude to be popular with kids. Every single superstar has done it, I dont buy the charity thing as a viable reason not to, and if they want to play it safe then just have him feud with vince and just be an anti authority heel a la stone cold and not put the fans down. Just as long as it's not the same cena we been seeing for the last 6 or 7 years or so.
Bryan was a face by the time that story started making national attention tho.
