Typical Cena segment:

*Heel comes out and drops a standard promo script rehashing every issue every heel has ever had with Cena in the past five years*
*Cena goes off-script and buries the heel completely, always bringing up the heel's manhood (specifically the lack thereof) knowing that the heel doesn't get the opportunity to respond*
*Segment ends*

It's easy to claim you let guys come at you on the mic like they want when you know you will always go last. Hell, heading towards WM you had the Miz having to resort to dropping fire response promo's on Talking Smack because he wasn't even allowed to respond to Cena in the ring.

John Cena commented on his reputation of “burying younger talent” during in a new interview with The Wrap to promote the second season of “American Grit,” which premieres Sunday on FOX.

There is this overwhelming perception that I am protected and coddled — that couldn’t be father from the truth.”

Who else can get in the ring with Steph and not get slapped? :stopitslime:

Bray wasn't ready and honestly he still isn't. Rusev was the one who deserved a push.
Rusev, pretty much everyone knew he was getting fed to Cena, still believe Reigns should've been the one to beat him at Wrestlemania 31 and start him from there. Didn't help Rusev anyways and especially having him look like a clown in his feud with Adolph

Thread title needs to be changed quick. "Cena takes credit for Miz stepping up, says talent buries themselves after feuding with him

This guy is a crybaby sorry son of a bytch..nygga had his feelings hurt by Mike from the Real World and now he was the reason everyone wanted to see it? These Republican idiots are hilarious and delusional.

Nah it makes a lot of sense. We've seen it countless times in the past, Cena will go in on you, almost like he goes off script. He wants you to match his intensity or one up him. Look at the feud with AJ Styles, they weren't pulling punches and look who won? I can see why younger talent would be afraid to cross that line though.
Miz decimated Cena on the Mic and fans cheered him on..got buried at Mania. Lol.

The stuff Ryback said must of really got to him if he felt like he had to addressed this now

You forgot he switches up his accent and put on his tough guy accent sounding like how he used to sound with his rapper gimmick.
Buried said heel then just drops the mic and storms out of the ring leaving said heel :dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

Cena is lying out his ass and he no it all top guys are baby/cuddled protected
Your not booking him the same as a midcard or lower level guy
When someone is your top guy money maker you are always are trying to make him look good no matter what even in a losing effort they will sell you how hard he fought and how he never gave up. He has nothing to be shame about he fought hard.

"I didn't bury you, yall buried yourselves!" Yeah alright breh, lmao.

To Cena's credit though he's been putting a lot of people over this last two or so years. I read somewhere that him getting pinned by Bray at Elimination Chamber was his idea.
It's more so because he not going to be around if anything plus so it only makes sense to put people over plus since Vince has his new golden boy in Roman so it's a lot easier for Vince to say John your taking an L tonight

Cena has buried talents, but in retrospect they were glorified Midcarders who didn't work their asses off. Bryan's work ethic made Cena respect him, and allowed a clean pin at SummerSlam. If you can back it up and bust your ass inside and outside of the ring, Cena will co-sign you to get a push.
