The good thing is if democrats are remotely competent which is in doubt collins in maine should be in big trouble that is a blue state that voted biden and harris she has no business being the senator there and voting in line with GOP and blocking democratic agendas and judges, roy cooper would be a credible challenger in north carolina re elected twice even when trump won the state, the huge dissapointment was casey losing in PA to a trump hack and lackey like mccormick that one stings, but PA is a swing state/purple state, he won by a few thousand votes they will another chance in 6 years to get that seat back, right now all hands on deck for ossoff if kemp runs thats going to be a tough race but still feasible
Yeah

Casey losing was a huge blow because getting to 50 in 2026 was doable. But it looks impossible unless you can flip Alaska or something

You could say the same for Obama with Lieberman and the public option which is how got the ACA which is practically 2% change considering the supermajority the Dems held. The reality is the donors and Biden himself did not want the full build back better proposal. So if it wasn't Manchin and Sinema it would have been someone else.
Obama got 60 senate votes for the ACA, and it wasn't just 1 or 2 who didn't want single payer. Single payer wasn't that close. Obama legitimately got Senators to sacrifice their careers to get the bill passed. Dude wasn't weak.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I don't know how many times this has to happen before people realize... DEMOCRATS ARE BACKED BY CORPORATIONS, WEALTHY AND UPPER MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE. So they will always do what's best for them. You don't raise over $1 billion in a span of a few months and not think otherwise.

Democrats can talk the talk all they want to working class voters. But at the end of the day, the will only go to the edge and never jump. If they did, they would raise far less money and those same donors will simply give their money to Republicans. This is a for profit capitalistic nation. The sole purpose of a for profit business to exist (big or small) is to generate profits and ROI. Any laws that get passed is for the sole purpose of making money for them. California spends billions to fight homelessness, but 1/3 of that money goes to business entities. When Mark Zuckerberg gave $100 million to Newark Public Schools MOST of that money went to consulting firms

Most of congress automatically step into office in a conflict of interest. Until bum ass Americans realize this, nothing will change. Or maybe they do, because like I said in another thread I created, the working and poor class have been programmed to only listen to rich people. Americans WANT to be controlled/led/guided by rich people. Every day people watch cable news and get their information from millionaire hosts who work for billionaires who run billion dollar media companies.

The ACA was a republican knockoff bill created by Mitt Romney. Then Obama lied about it's flaws.

He wanted to say he was the first to pass comprehensive health care, but since he left office, it has slowly been stripped down to damn near nothing. Hospitals and doctors still charge the same. Pharmaceutical companies still mark up drugs prices and charge Americans more than other countries.

ACA is nothing more than an illusion.

What did he lie about? And you're blaming him for what happened after he left office? The ACA was the best we could do at the time. Anyone saying otherwise wasn't aware at the time. I hear all these criticisms about it, yeah I wanted single payer to. The votes weren't there. It was set up to allow for future lawmakers to make it a single payer system, but the dumbass American people decided they wanted more corporate rule.
