Help me out here breh what do you see in Ward that Calzaghe would exploit?

How does he win this fight?

Calzaghe wins by being himself which is a relentless volume power punching southpaw with quick hands.

Ward doesn't have a lot of glaring flaws. He used to jump in with his chin up, but that was earlier in his career. He's fixed that.

One thing I noticed that nobody really tried to do besides Miranda was to make him back up. Miranda had some early success in their fight by attacking Ward and being first. Ward adjusted and tore that nikkas body to shreads. Other than that.....

Ward's a good solid technically skilled fighter breh. No shade at all. I just don't think he's beaten anybody on Joe's level and that goes for skills as well as natural talent.

Both would easily be fighting their best opponent by facing each other.

I think Joe wins a real competitive 115-113 type of decision, by just outworking Ward, being 1st, and using angles.

If Ward were to win, it'd prolly be close as well. Neither has beaten a great HOF level guy in their prime to make me think they would dominate the other like that.

Prime Roy Jones smacks both them nikkas around, but that's for another thread.

now that we've gotten that outta the way.

Go ahead and cook. :salute:

Joe and ward would be a competitive fight..however my hatred of Joe Cal doesn't make me think too objectively :francis:...that beating he gave my nikka left hook..its not right :damn:

I've been on joe's case even longer ..I used to want him and ottke to fukkin unify but they were on that bullshyt :beli:

:russ:Everyone had Jeff winning that. Dude was on fire at the time. I was like everyone else & assumed Jeff was gonna win until the week of the fight. I was rooting for Jeff, but came to the logical conclusion Joe was gonna most likely win by decision. I didn't see THAT beating coming though. Joe was actually viewed as a shot fighter at that time who was passing the torch.

This was suppose to be a passing of the torch & it just turned into a disaster.

too bad ward and joe cal dont have too many common opponents

both of them share the best victories of their career with kessler and they both had issues with bika for some odd reason lol
bika is a nice opp. he is a guy that gives a lot of people problems just never really got to the elite level due to lack of skill and talent. :mjcry:

but his toughness and grit :ehh:

That version of Bika that Ward faced has got to be the version of Bika I've ever seen. If that was anyone else other than Ward that night they prolly would have lost.

That relentless "power slapping" :mjlol: gets tossed into the bushes with Ward's jab. Low output 40+ BHop gave him all he could handle at then some and while BHop's resume is better Ward is a better fighter on the outside and very similar inside.

He was able to get inside on BHop where he was able to outwork him because he was a bit better from the outside than Bernard(at that time) and still didn't win the fight in the eyes of press row(and me). That would not be a factor here at all Ward shuts down everyone with his jab which is why his fights are ALWAYS at the pace he wants to fight hence why the "boring" nikkas always have something to say about it(because that's the only thing they can do :banderas: ). That volume punching gets shut down like everyone else does.

I would pick prime Chad over him as well. :manny: Dawson was able to do something Joe couldn't, clearly beat :old: Bhop.

:manny:

Your posts in this thread have been some of the most stannish dikk suckingst posts I've ever read so props on achieving that. :heh:

I'd be happy if Ward fights GGG or Kovalev (without weight draining fukkery of course):dahell:

I'm actually a fan of fights that help progress the sport and boxer's careers.

The Monroes, and Paul Smiths ain't gon do it for me.

Not me friend :whew: as a kid my uncle always told me when a puncher goes up against a boxer bet on the boxer every time. All these fights where dudes are :noah: over nikkas power like Walters/Loma, Lucas/Bradley, GGG/Ward, kkkov/Ward. Unless the boxer is flabby or there is fukkery involved I'm pickiing the boxer every time.

I can respectfully disagree with this post because you didn't type it while Ward's dikk was in your mouth, unlike your apprentice though. :scusthov:

Ward could very well beat Joe though. Fight is real close to call in my eyes. :manny:

I would also pick Chad to beat Joe. I thought Taylor had a decent shot too.
