they havnt don't anything musically to be put on such a pedestal, and at this point, its obvious that they never will.
like somebody said, you cant mention them in the same breath as people like Michael Jackson, whitney Houston, bob marley, 2pac, etc.
the most you can say is that kids growing up that don't know any better, may view them as icons 20 years from now. but that's not saying anything of real merit, when you have to rely on the opinions of the ignorant.
