I hope he's right.
Hoes should never be heard from.
Speak when spoken to.
Never thought hip hop would get to a place where literal prostitutes shape culture.
It was so cringe when this shyt was at its height and all the industry ppl where celebrating them. All that "women are running the game right now, the men need to step it up" shyt and damn near none of them really sell records, they sell everything else but records. The best days of female rappers been dead since the early to mid 90s. Now they just get a BBL and throw on tranny levels of make up and shake their lab grown bodies and we supposed to call it women empowerment.

All that blame goes to simp enablers like Gucci Mane.

I feel like we have to separate some of those statements. Yes, the thot rappers recycling obvious samples aren't making money for the labels and are wasting more money than they generate. But I still don't think the wave is over because labels always pound shyt into the ground before moving on, and because the dominant audience remains women. Until women make it clear they want to hear different shyt, I don't see how we can definitively state this is over.

Rap is the only genre in the mainstream that refuses to answer for what the GP.

Rap needs a Billie Eilish or Olivia Rodrigo.

It’s a budget allocation decision that hopefully bankrupts the industry
The IRS needs an Elliot Ness type to turn on the radio and get pissed off enough crackdown on all of the creative accounting projects being presented as new musical acts

basically we can pay a lot less taxes on our Beyonce earnings if we have 10 projects we are rolling our profits into so we don’t have to pay taxes in our investment

if one of those pops, my dad will finally stop thinking I’m a loser who couldn’t cut it at law school or make it as a real estate developer or hedgefund manager

Album sales dont matter

Singles go

If u got one. Everyone think u poppin

The girls have singles

The problem is that you can't tour off singles, and the labels aren't really benefiting. They're making more money off these chicks sampling catalog songs than the actual rap songs. That’s not good lol, long term.
