What run? :mjlol: only thing that shows is how manufactured drake is including his so called success. Theres a reason why the industry had to start to count streams for his second album after his first underperformed to his labels expectations. If we are being real, drake still needs the machine behind him because it hasnt transitioned to the point where he can sell by himself.

Now with the lucian grange aspect being exposed. That whole streams being counted for the take care album as drake was the first artist that they did that for. Drake is more like a fraud thats serving as a trojan horse to introduce bullshyt

His first album underperformed and didn’t meet expectations?

It was the 3rd highest selling rap album of that year (behind Eminem a lot and Kanye west barely)…who were already A list artists

What do you people even be typing on here

Say what you want but drakes success from the jump was, still is and will always be questionable from his sales to his buzz. Its not organic at all and clearly its the labels and corporations doing all that work. Anybody with an ounce of sense can tell off the rip. It doesnt help that hes insecure as shyt and basically tells on himself.

That whole wack ass so far gone mixtape push was one huge industry push with that wack ass forever record where he literally riding on eminem, lil wayne and lebron james nuts. He had the audacity to say nothing was done for him. He literally says it in the hook of forever. Its like he thinks people are stupid and cant see hes a pop star thats being forced onto the public. You can stan the fraud all you want. Drake will be remembered as an actor cosplaying as a pop artist/ wannabe rapper

Artist don't tour for fun, they tour to get paid. So why would someone who signed a large deal and has endorsement money touring like an artist in a bad deal?

It's not for money, it's out of obligation. Who recently or in the past, has dropped more than 1 project in an 18 month time span and then has went on to do more than 1 major tour run off those projects?

There are plenty of pseudo-independent artists dropping multiple projects and doing clubs and small billings on 45-60 day runs - not full blown tour bills.

But it is, and countless artists have done the same thing. It's just less common for rappers because only a handful are big enough for a massive global tour with multiple legs. Outside of Drake, Eminem, Hov, Kanye, and Kendrick...that's about it. Maybe Nicki has done it at some point. It's quite common in pop, rock, and EDM.

This feels like that Drake line about taking a girl to a fancy restaurant and she doesn’t know which silverware to use, because she isn’t familiar with classy shyt. Joe speaking from a caveman perspective on shyt he doesn’t recognize. Which is wild given that he’s an r&b head and Tina Turner/Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey/Beyonce/etc went on these types of tours regularly. Tour for two years, get a brief break and then the label wants to hand you millions of dollars for the next album.

I don't know man, sounds good if you have a two to five million dollar deal and need to recoup as well as make as much money as you can cause you are in a 360.

In Drake's case he has a 400 or 500 million dollar deal. Couple that with the fact that he said he was going to take some time to heal after having stomach issues or whatever and he never took the break he said he would. I feel it may be indicative of the fact he has a shyt load of responsibilities and terms in that deal that he has to meet which only makes sense. If they are paying you over 400 to 500 million then just think about how much they are making off of you and how long that deal must be. Doesn't seem smart imo if I'm Drake. I would much rather push for independence and ownership than whatever that deal is lol.

Normal compared to? Eras? Artist?

Because if we comparing artist, there arent many selling out staduims and arenas like he is. Much less at this volume.

The mid tier artist cancel shows all the time cuz they cant fill em. IE nikki, meg, lil baby, etc

If we doing eras, then its not even comparable. Artist back in the day did more shows. Sometimes twice a night.
True but most of them were in bad deals which is why they preformed that much. That proves Joe's point lol.

If I had a deal worth hundreds of millions then why would I tour that much? Basically live out of a suitcase and away from family for that long for fun lol. They are 360'ing his ass and he has a lot of duties which I feel makes sense to justify that deal imo.

Twice a week isn’t everyday.. I think they record Patreon at the same time as episodes

Also hilarious how people who's experience in negotiation and deals is at flea markets are in here advising Drake and his team of lawyers and advisers on how to handle his contracts :mjlol:
