Yall don't have the patience for incremental change that this system is designed for, so u advocate abolishing a system that u don't have to soldiers to abolish. U better learn how to play the game before Don Jr is elected.

Exactly, the bill was put into place cause crime was out of control. Not to purposely affect black people. Alot of agents on here. Bernie supporters, trump supports and weirdo ADOS mafukkas, who want Huey Newton Jr as president.
In your opinion the bill worked?

the arrogance in how he said that while not promising us reparations was astounding. so black people who don't vote for democrat are not black? :hhh: this might just be one the most absurd statements i've ever heard from a democratic politician. this racist buffon biden just lost any chance of getting my vote after this. I'm voting third party and IDGAF if that benefits trump. fukk it.

breh, some of these supreme court justices are like 90 years old. If we let trump choose all their replacements we will be essentially be in a Trump judicial system for rest of our lives. This shyt isn't scare tactics.
And which judge sitting in your lifetime took a stand against white supremacy?

There are people in here that wouldn't give the benefit of the doubt to the common idiot on the street that are seemingly stumbling over themselves to defend Joe fukking Biden.

Y'all know y'all don't have to do that, right?

Everyone knows your vote is strategic. That doesn't mean what he says and who he is/been is acceptable. Holding him accountable for his dumb shyt is the only way he'll be forced to act right.

Stop letting this fool off the hook.

Your first paragraph is gibberish. Type coherently, or don't bother quoting me. Going after a politician for passing a bill supported by his constituents for it's unintended consequences isn't fair criticism. Black folk mistakenly thought rhe law would be applied fairly. Hindsight is 20/20.

The CBC supported the Clinton bill (and the '86 drug laws) because the black community put pressure on them. Mayor Schmoke and other black leaders got Mfume and the CBC to support it, not "democrats".

first of all we're talking about somebody who's running for president, not the black community, because if I'm not mistaking it is Joe Biden who is running for president, right? isn't that what you do? you vet the candidate in order to see if you're going to vote for him? So you bringing up anybody that isn't Joe Biden, who is running for president, is irrelevant.

Secondly, the Congressional Black caucus had their own bill to handle how crime should be handled in the black community, which Biden and the rest of the Democrats pressured the CBC into withdrawing their bill and voting for Bidens.

Biden isn't perfect, but those going after him for the crime bill are disingenuous as fukk.

Black people overwhelmingly supported the crime bill, full stop.

We were under literal seige by drug kingpins and gangs in the 80s and early 90s. Bodies in the streets. You kids who weren't there can't understand. The bill was abused and created its own set of problems.

this is true. anyone under the age of 30 or so has no clue how bad the situation was if you didn't grow up in that time frame. the crack epidemic, rampant violence and impact to the black communities. it really was terrible. not to mention it was a problem instigated by republicans.

black families and our community were protesting to have something done. be careful what you wish for though. the drug and crime problem improved, but we were the only ones paying for it.

i'm not saying the crime bill was the right solution. i don't think it was, plus i think they dodged the root of the problem which was the gov funneling drugs into our communities to fund their illegal pet projects. also using the prison industrial complex as an investment strategy.

only pointing this out because to yell "crime bill" without context and without acknowledging how repubs were involved is lazy. we can monday morning qb that crime bill forever, but let's look at where we are now and where we need to go today. what's the best strategy based on our options.

What’s the game, we had 8 years clinton, 8 years obama and now it’s time to push 8cuears biden? you’re saying that Biden is an improvement from the first two? If not, then if definitely time to push the democratic party to provide better candidates and actually fight.

What exactly is wrong with the lesser of 2 evils? That Biden evil will appoint a liberal black supreme court justice, will promote alternative energy sourc s instead pf slobbin down the oil industry. And definitely handle pandemics better. Yeah, I'll take the lesser of 2 evils.

Fukk the c00ns, My N1gga Biden 2020
Biden is more likely to appoint someone who will give corporate entities voting rights than anything involving black people improving their standing :mjlol:

Black people voting democrat no matter what. Biden is openly seeing how far he can push it but people still not willing to acknowledge it.

People don't have the patience for incremental change - but vote for Biden?

Just waiting a few hours to see how Biden addresses this bullshyt isn't even an option :dead: gotta rush to defend him and shyt on all who are rightfully disgusted by what he said is the move.

My problem isn’t necessarily with the crime bill itself, but more so of the ramifications of it that people should have saw beforehand. It was obvious who the bill was targeting yet some people didn’t seem to care as they wanted drugs off the streets.

If people today can see who certain bills are targeting, then why couldn’t we see it back then? History has always fukked over black people, so it should have been saw beforehand exactly what the ramifications of that bill would have been and how it could be abused.
