You mean responding to changing conditions and new information is misinformation? :why:

I guess the government should have predicted the delta variant ahead of time and immediately told everyone to act as if the delta variant already existed, amiright?

Yes scientifically speaking the government should have predicted the Δ mutation ahead of time, remember were talking about the top scientists here and told everyone to act as if the Δ mutation already exists, because viruses mutate and turn into a varient, than a strain. It's common scientific knowledge that all viruses mutate, but not always at the same rate, so informing the public that this vaccine will help you with this current strain and may not offer resistance to any future mutations, is information that the public should know.

They inform the public that ever year you should recieve a booster flu shot, because the influenza virus mutates and the previous vaccine will not protect you againt this current flu strain.

But they did say that the virus could mutate, they repeatedly told the public that. :why:

What are you suggesting they do - ignore current conditions and keep mask/lockdown/social distancing forever in case the virus mutates again?

They did not inform the public that the current vaccine will not protect you from further variants.

They told the public to get the vaccine so we can stop the spread, they should also have informed the public that there will be a need for reoccurring vaccine shots, due to the covid virus mutations into different variant and those variants produce new covid strain.
  • Mutation. When a virus replicates, and the end copy has differences (in DNA or RNA), those differences are mutations.
  • Variant. When you accumulate enough mutations, you get a variant.
  • Strain. When you can prove a variant truly has new biologic capabilities, then you can call it a strain.

The public was informed of both of those things repeatedly and consistently long before Delta appeared. :comeon:

Joe is an old school Demoncratic politrickian. He told Black people in that zoom meeting he wasn’t gonna do any specific for us. Sounded like true Massa . Now he mad his Illuminated handlers are disappointed probably with him for not hitting his COVID-19 goals. Blame Fauci not Facebook.

I’m not siding with either one of them. They all misleaded people.

That is a part of the misinformation, because before they said the vaccine does not help with prevention of new covid variants, but now they are blaming people who are unvaccinated and saying the increase of Δ variant cases, is due to the people who are unvaccinated. First the vaccine does not work against new covid variants, now it does prevent new cases of covid variants.

The first statement is untrue - vaccination can certainly help with the prevention of new variants but it can't keep variants from developing in people who are unvaccinated. The rest of what you said isn't a contradiction at all.

* Variants only emerge after enormous amounts of viral replication

* Enormous amounts of viral replication will only happen if people aren't vaccinated

* Thus having universal vaccination can PREVENT new variants from emerging

* After the variant has emerged, the partial protection of the vaccine can still create herd immunity, but only if vaccination is close to universal. The more people who are unvaccinated, the lower the chances of herd immunity. If there is 100% vaccination, then herd immunity might be reached even if the vaccine is only 70% effective. But if there is only 75% vaccination, then you might need 95% effectiveness to reach herd immunity.

So high vaccination rates can prevent new variants AND keep new variants from spreading. Unfortunately, we have to work with the assumption that a certain % of people will fail to vaccinate and then fukk it up for everyone else, as their high viral load can lead to new variants as well as the difficulty in reaching herd immunity.

Bro you just contracted yourself lol. First you said vaccination can help with prevention of new variants, but you posted links saying that vaccination does not prevent covid variants and strains. Your spreading misinformation lol

Also this is not a debate

Breh, you're not following. :gucci:

A. Vaccination helps prevent new covid variants

B. The more people that are vaccinated, the less likely new variants are

C. Vaccination can't prevent new covid variants from developing in people that fail to get vaccinated

The links you quoted are information about the effects of variants on vaccinated people AFTER the variants develop. That's not the same as preventing their development.
