Keisha suffers the same problem as Abrams, not very experienced. And Mayor of Atlanta is just not as prestigious as being a Senator. If we're going black woman, Kamala is the most qualified in America right now.
Keisha looks better than Kamala and Stacey and has a black family, and if Mayor Pete was a viable presidential candidate, Keisha can at least be on the ticket for VP.

Mayor aren't qualified to be president IMO. Yes that includes Mayor Pete.

Harris is at least qualified (senator, state attorney general).

Abrams should have run for senate this year, she fukked up. Now she has to bet the farm on getting VP, which I doubt happens.

If she never got VP consideration, I doubt she would have run for Senate. She has never expressed a desire to become a senator or leave Georgia state politics (notwithstanding a godfather offer like VP). Other people were saying she should run because of how she "lost" her gubernatorial race and the name recognition that came from it.

“[M]y responsibility is not simply to run because the job is available,” she said. “I need to run because I want to do the job.”

It isn't like she launched a presidential campaign off a failed senatorial one. Or after being an ordinary mayor of a college town. She was doing her own thing when Biden name dropped her. I always thought her focus was voting rights and possibly running another gubernatorial campaign.

Mayor of NYC is the only mayoral position I think could be a good stepping stone to the presidency.

Honestly I'd agree with that, good point. Dude was a piece of shyt racist but sure, on paper you could argue Rudy Giulianni was qualified. Atlanta? South Bend? Every other city except maybe LA? Nah. Last thing I want is a Palin situation where Biden reaches to pick someone like Abrams of the ATL mayor and it backfires.

The funny thing is even though a few NYC mayors have run for President.

NONE OF THEM have come close to even winning the nomination of their party :heh:.

Damn, this is a straight ether .

Lacy Clay is a CBC member too. Stacey should fall back :pachaha:.

Disrespectful but he's right.
:mjlol:

It's weird af. And btw...for those arguing she's only interested in major structural change and thus interested in random shyt like being a US senator (?)....what exactly does she accomplish as VP, besides sitting on the sidelines and not being particularly helpful at anything?

got a call for three nines
I remember the Bernie people were advocating for Abrams and then suddenly she was supposed to be Biden’s VP... always a ounded more like a political hit job than anything tangible at the time

I don’t think she’s qualified and with the risks involved if just doesn’t make sense.

She should focus on non-profits specializing in voting rights or run for governor/congress/senate and get elected.
