@The ADD Keisha’s name actually has floated as a possible VP pick by Jim Clyburn who holds heavy influence with Joe Biden and basically handed SC to him.

you can’t compare that to the ridiculousness of a Nina Turner, cmon breh :comeon:

I don't think anyone has ever gone from Mayor to President or Vice President.
Only 2 presidents have never had statewide or federal governmental experience (Eisenhower & Trump).

At least Eisenhower was a 5-star general who was the Supreme Allied Commander during WWII. He was also the mastermind behind D-Day.

Trump was and still is a failed "business" man.

It'll be Harris, Warren, or Whitmer. I don't think anyone else matters. If the goal is to fire up the base, it's Warren. If the goal is to lean heavy into the Midwest, it's Whitmer. If the goal is to bet on black, it's Harris.

I don't think any of them are truly strong VPs.

Whitmer won't be chosen because she's only been a Governor since January 2019, and it would look bad for her to jump to running for VP right after a pandemic or during the end of it. It might hurt Biden's chances of winning the state. If they are thinking about gains in the midwest, they'd be thinking of Amy Kaine.

I don't think Warren will be chosen because of her age, and also because Biden said he needs someone he can see eye to eye with. Biden probably don't think he would see eye to eye with someone who has a different ideology.

I've thought for a while now that Amy and Kamala were the final two choices that Biden and his team are "seriously" looking at.

I think it ends up being Kamala. Biden should already be strong in the Midwest so he doesn't need a Midwest politician. Warren isn't the progressive darling anymore after the primaries so she doesn't bring much to the table. Black ppl will feel betrayed if he doesn't pick a black VP considering they saved him, and Stacy Abrams has little experience.

Warren is the strongest VP out of the list. She was a victim of not having a strong enough base in the moderate and progressive camps but she was the perfect compromise candidate. I still believe if Bernie did not run she would have been the nominee

I think those are my picks in order. The VP pick needs to be a big name and someone who can campaign vigorously (if that's going to be allowed).
