Most VPs are from "completely useless states electorally".

Pence: Indiana - strong Republican state, useless electorally.
Biden: Delaware - strong Democratic state, useless electorally.
Cheney: Wyoming - the MOST Republican state in the country, useless electorally.
Gore: Tennessee - strong Republican state now but in 1992 was a purple state and Gore helped Clinton win TN in '92 & '96.
Quayle: Indiana - strong Republican state, useless electorally.
HW Bush: Texas - strong Republican state now was more purple in 1980.
Mondale: Minnesota - strong Democratic state, useless electorally

Most VPs come from useless states electorally :yeshrug:.

VA in 2016 was a "Lean/Likely" Democratic state. Now, it's a strong blue state :yeshrug:.

Also, the Clinton/Kaine ticket lost :yeshrug:.

The ticket with New York/Indiana won (2 useless states electorally):yeshrug:
well frankly i think klobuchar or gretchen whitmer do more to deliver biden a W, so :yeshrug: im not sure who kamala flips that he doesnt have already. meanwhile those 2 help with the MI/WI angle

Unless Abrams has a change of heart, it'll be Kamala. My preferred pick is Yates though. Anyone that could make Cruz eat crow in real-time has my vote.

You’re not wrong. It’s more about what people project than the state. All those guys were put on the ticket to project something to certain audiences.
