It’s really not. Granted she dropped out but ask yourself. If she had that much pull to totally shift her numbers why the hell did she drop out before her home state? She could have threw those delegates to him afterwards.

The bigger point here is that she’s no more a proper choice than anyone else at this point so the poster saying good luck selling candidate as finishing fourth is also basically saying her too.

The Liz element aside the idea that Klobachaur is infallible here is absurd.
:gucci:Umm because she hadn’t won a primary yet, then SC happened, so she saw the writing on the wall (along with Pete) to make the wise decision to jump behind Biden and get this shyt over with instead of wasting everyone’s time like Bernie is currently doing. Why is that hard for you to understand? Amy would have possibly won her state, but what would have it mattered? The Joe-mentum has already left the station.

I have to disagree. Klob/Ryan locks down WI, MI, PA. So then Biden is free to play with the map. None of the other contenders really do that. Plus Klob and Ryan can bring more white voters in. Bideb already has black people as you said.
Kamala is who everyone on twitter wants. I'm just saying her record is a problem. Warren is seeing as polarizing for some reason.
I don’t see a great plurality of people waffling on joe and needing Klob or Ryan to push them over. They are great value, less well known joe Bidens they bring you nothing other than the risk of depressing the vote in the other half of the party you need to actually win these toss up states.

Everybody they would theoretically get you, Joe already does. Polls have already shown increased voter turnout in the primaries, they all voted for joe already, to seal the deal we need to get the rest of the people to want to come out again.

we’ve been talking about unifying the party, how do those people motivate the disaffected 30+%?

IMO, the other half of the party has been talking about how they are proud dems and whatever. They should show up regardless since they are Biden's biggest advocates. This election doesn't have to come down to motivation. I feel people have seen the coronavirus mismanagement and they will want trump out as soon as their money is messed with (like today apparantly), also let's be honest, the people could have chosen anyone of the others (warren, kamala, etc) as president and went bernie or biden over half the time. Biden should focus on independents imo.

Sad and prayers for her.

If Joe were to become POTUS, he would most likely nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court (Democrats would also have to win back the Senate).

However, Judge Jackson is married to a White man. Would that cause some controversy in the Black community? :patrice:

Black men won't like it that much, but ultimately not enough controversy that results in the pick being withdrawn.

I know Obama considered her last time, but I'm not sure she'd be selected. She's not even on the appeals court yet.

I like how you asked this as if people even pay attention to the courts. Perhaps that was the point? If not, then the lack of responses certainly answer your question.

What's wrong? You don't think Bush 41 talked to Reagan about a nominee? Gore didn't talk to Clinton?

Lol your overall point is fine but those two examples aren't great.

Given Reagan's mental state I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. HW was functionally the president by the end Reagan's second term (Reagan had alzheimer's).

Seeing as Gore ran away from his Clinton association I kind of doubt it. He even went as far as choosing Lieberman, who publically admonished Clinton, as his running mate.

Also, fukk Joe Lieberman.
