The tone of this article is pretty negative towards Harris. They make her out to be the choice solely b/c of race and that some of the other candidates disqualifying circumstances. That there still seems to be some mistrust there between Biden's circle and Harris' entourage. Looks like Harris had to pretty much bend the knee to get the spot.

It also reads like Tammy would have been the pick if not for this....

Also this is frustrating to read...no George Floyd, Demmings is probably the pick. :francis: @Warren Moon @*DalMem*

Val made the most sense for a Black Woman VP.

Someone that can help you win a key swing state in Florida.

A California Democrat doesn't help in swing states.

Gotdamn, the Democratic party is ran by idiots. :snoop:

Also, Karen Bass and Susan Rice both would've been terrible choices as well.

That tidbit made me sick. Biden's should have went with their gut and picked the person they legitimately clicked with on a personal level. Val is much more authentic than Kamala and would have solidified Florida for him.

The article said it: Kamala checked all of the boxes that other candidates didn't completely do.

*Qualified - Check
*Relatively young - Check
*Debate skills - Check
*National profile - Check
*Electoral experience - Check
*Woman of color (particularly, a Black/mixed woman) - Check
*Personal relationship with Joe - Check

The other candidates checked some but not all of the boxes. That's why Kamala was the favorite from the beginning and that's why she was picked (despite the debate smite) :manny:.

I'm not sure that Val would make much of a difference in Florida. Also, Val has never been tested on a national level and she was a literal police officer (Kamala was a prosecutor) and that might not be the best look. However, like the article says, she can take a shot at the FL gubernatorial race in 2022.

Also, does Val Demings have the same fundraising skills that Kamala has? I doubt it.

Biden made the right choice. Again not the choice I would have made but I still believe it was the right one. The thing that shows the most character about the choice was how she shat on him at that first debate but he still picked her. It shows a stark contrast to Trump who only keeps people around that won't challenge him.

I ain’t going to lie. The fukkery that Trump is pulling at the post office is making me lose hope. Dems need to do something to stop Trump from stealing the election
I don't know about state legislatures, but MN, WI, PA and NC all have at least Dem Governors :whew:

:francis:Didn’t Hillary have a 12 point lead over Trump?
These polls make me nervous...
Hillary's lead was extremely volatile. People forget that Trump went up on her a few times.

Joe has been polling +7-10 for 3-4 months now. Very stable given everything going on.

Nah breh this further alienates the Bernie crowd and progressive dems. I can already see some of the hardcore left not even voting. He should have picked Warren to have some balance.
To me these are just people who would rather lose being absolutely right than to take any step towards the right direction. They always mad about something and they never vote.

Much more stable, and I think that the romantic idea of a non-politician being POTUS has been tarnished by Trump. I think it's something that quite a few people believe in, however, he is such a raging douche that it's going to cause a lot of people to rethink that idea.

It's why they never really accomplish anything of note

You might not like that Harden gets easy fouls, but unfortunately, that's how the game is played. Adjust and win the game or complain about it in....the locker room...afterwards

It's why Trump is winning right now unfortunately
