I just don't see it happening. I remember the discussion in 2016 being that Trump couldn't win, his polling is down etc. I feel like the same thing is playing out now. Dems feeling they can't lose. Now they don't even have to campaign. Its probably going to result in a much lower turn out.

if the turnout is low among the young and the poor, biden may have the advantage in educated older suburbanites. him not being hillary and trump failing at dealing with covid could be the key

i will say this, if trump does manage to find his groove again, biden will be in trouble because he is one hell of a lazy candidate.

Her AG record is beyond terrible and should of been an automatic disqualification. But you can have that. That not even what I mad at.

For me it not really about this election. Trump fukked up the COVID response, plus we are in an economic downturn. Because of this it will be hard for him to win. Biden have ran a terrible campaign with a ton of gaffes and he is still leading Trump by a large margin because of covid and the economy.

The problem is this. I don’t think people are going to give Biden a honeymoon period. The Dems could lose control of the House in 2022 if Biden isn’t bold enough to enact major change. Biden’s record shows that it is highly unlikely that he will push for bold action. Is Kamala really the person that is going to push Biden to make the changes we need? She doesn’t strike my as someone who has any core beliefs besides her own personal ambitions, so I doubt it.

Also, we already knew that the VP choice is setup to be the nominee in 2024. A Republican can easy retake the Presidency. My fear is that we end up with a smarter Trump like figure. I’m not confident that Kamala to handle that type of challenge.

I know people just want Trump gone, but not thinking long term lead us to getting Trump in the first place. The next Trump like figure could be much more dangerous, because they are likely to be more competent.
