I think its gonna be Tammy Baldwin ... Senator from Wisconsin.

She makes the most sense to me for Joe if its gonna be a woman.

Progressive Gay Woman from an important swing state with a democratic governor.
Forgot about her, that's an excellent choice as well. Actually probably better than Warren as she doesn't have Warren's "I'm Native American" baggage and isn't despised by Bernie Bros. :ehh:

And then Scott Walker replaces her, which keeps the Dems from reaching a simple majority.

Yes and the governor of WI doesn't appoint Senatorial replacements. I'm saying he'd run for the seat.

Really, I thought the seventeenth amendment forces the governor of the state only to fill a senate vacancy. Like no one else

I'm looking for that supermajority in a trouncing for Republicans in November. She is like the perfect reconciliation of the democratic base to allow high turnout.

So it wouldnt matter to me if they happen to lose a senate seat in a special election. I think Scott Walker is done in that state. He is not a really beloved guy there.

No. Stop it. Tammy Baldwin needs to stay in her Senate seat, she's a great senator is in a swing state and we DON'T need to jeopardize her seat.

Also, the fact that she is a lesbian WILL BE a big deal to some voters.

It'd be a bad look to leave after half a term, especially considering the current state of affairs.

I'm glad she isn't leaving though. She's young enough that the Senate and/or the presidency are options for her down the road.
Exactly. I hate that so many Democratic voters are wanting any rising politician in the party to be VP or "run for President".

It's annoying. How the hell is the Democratic Party going to be effective nationwide if every rising star is running for the top offices of the federal government? :martin:

Wisconsin law dictates that a special election fill that seat. I'm not sure if it would be Walker now, doesn't he have a ton of baggage with the anti-union shyt, Foxconn debacle, his failed run for president, etc.? There's some chance that a Republican would win that seat though, and if there wasn't then Wisconsin probably wouldn't be a big worry swing state anymore anyway.

I'm just saying she would be a very good VP choice compared to Klobuchar, Harris, Warren and Abrams. Progressive Gay Woman with no baggage in a Swing State that will likely decide the election. And She is the Perfect reconciliation of the democratic base with her and Biden.

Priority Number One is beating Trump.

Baldwin would shore up beating Trump cause in 2018 she won her reelection bid by double digit percentage points.

And If Trump loses Winsconsin, it's over right away because he for damn sure is not winning Michigan and Pennsylvania again. He will likely lose Minnesota Again. Trump needs one of those states to win again.

And Lesbi honest :troll: ... people are more uncomfortable with a gay man than woman. Always has been that way.

She has been a gay senator since 2013 in a midwest state. No signs of people disliking her especially in Winsconsin given her big win in 2018 and Winsconsin is trending blue anyway I think given Baldwin's sizeable win in 2018 and them getting Scott Walker the fukk outta there too.

Nope. Wisconsin is NOT trending blue. Also, how will Baldwin a relatively unknown senator help Joe Biden on a national level?

Additionally, there is no evidence that she will help Joe in the Midwest outside of Wisconsin.

Additionally, while people are more comfortable with a gay woman than a gay man. Her being a lesbian will become a big topic of discussion and will be a big deal for some voters (on a nationwide level). Trump will probably call her the "gay Pocahontas/Elizabeth Warren".

Finally, she doesn't want to be VP and WE. DON'T. NEED. TO. JEOPARDIZE. HER. SEAT.

That's with all states that loses a federal congressperson who does not complete their terms. Eventually there would be a special election for the seat but first the state governor appoints or holds the seat as a matter of law via the seventeenth amendment.

Like I said before priority number one is beating Trump. She is really the best option politically and demographically. She checks all the boxes.

And there is a chance a republican could win a special election after Winsconsin's democratic governor appoints a democrat to temporarily fill the senate seat. But I'm willing to take that risk to get the clown out of the white house.

Plus I think Winsconsin is trending blue.

I agree Scott Walker is done in that State. Not concerned by him.

given the task at hand with this election, i didnt even like biden being vocal about gay marriage last night :yeshrug:

like it's cool you supported it, but let's make that a low priority issue :dame:
