So for all of the hate, Harris has a higher progressive voting record percentage than most. In fact she is in second place when it comes to progressive voting in the senate. Solid A rating.

So why do we think she wouldn't be a strong advocate for progressives? Because of her time as California AG?

I think the hate Kamala gets from some parts of the left is overstated (she's one of the original co-sponsors of Bernie's M4A bill), and I'm more concerned with what she will do in the future than what she's done in the past. My discomfort with her is that she's not a dyed in the wool progressive and isn't verified in progressive activist/academic circles. She's a passable choice because she's shown susceptibility to bold, progressive ideas, but I don't see much in her history that shows she would be willing to go to the mat.

When the cameras are off and no one is looking, will she knuckle down and fight for the right thing, or will she capitulate to Biden's overwhelming centrist tendencies? Maybe, but we genuinely can't be sure.

Rice has ample experience in both diplomacy and national security. Both items Trump has failed on, especially with the way he has dealt within the United Nations and WHO.

My early bets were Harris or Demmings. But Rice has emerged as of late. Harris may get the AG job if she wants it.

There should have never been a question! She has always been the only choice. Most qualified, already ran for president, has a relationship with Biden, extremely smart, accomplished, she needed a little smoothing out on the trail, but she is savvy, charming, good looking, and qualified to be president, on day 1.
