It's going to be 2 white guys running against Trump brehs

Exactly. He's going to choose a younger White guy in his 40's or 50's.

Everything else is a pipedream.

Why would y'all feel like Biden "owes" Black folks anything when we gladly "hand out" our vote to him? :heh:

Black vote is CHEAP.:heh:

Hill lost because of L’s in PA, WI, and MI. if the dems retake PA, MI and either WI or NC, they win without Ohio
Agreed.
The Democratic nominee doesn't have to win Ohio to become president.

All the Democratic nominee has to do is win the same states Hillary did in 2016 (which is a guarantee) and then flip back Wisconsin, Michigan & Pennsylvania (that's going to be the hard part). That's it. Winning any other state would be a bonus and mean that Trump lost in a big landslide.

Furthermore, Ohio is a lost cause. Ohio has a higher white working class population than the national average (those voters heavily favor Republicans). Ohio also has a higher white, non-college educated population than the national average (those voters are heavily Republican). The big cities of Ohio are just not enough to outweigh the rest of the state.
What about Lake, Ashtabula, etc? The upper middle class suburbs of Cleveland, we should not give up on them.

We should cause a landslide loss for trump. The numbers are there. I feel Joe can go for 300 electoral votes.

In certain parts of Ohio, yes, of course Democrats should not give up. However, on a statewide level, Ohio is lost for the Democrats for the foreseeable future.

Tammy Duckworth would be a good choice. She was in the House, then became a Senator. Former assistant secretary of intergovernmental affairs at the VA under Obama. Lieutenant colonel military vet and double legged leg amputee from a grenade attack in Iraq, awarded purple heart which means she would get Veterans support for Biden.

She should be a top 3 choice.

Biden has to pick someone that can beat Trump in 2024. Because that vindictive a$$hole may run again out of spite.
:comeon: if trump loses in 2020 he wont even go out in public. he'll be called a loser everywhere he goes

i dont think some of you understand this about trump; he doesnt actually want to be president :dead: he never did

he ran as a joke to promote himself, and the republicans actually nominated him. then he had no choice but to run against hillary, and he expected to lose. he was just gonna call it rigged and move on. and then he actually won :mjlol: why do you think melania was crying on election night? how many times do you think he assured her "im not actually gonna win, you won't actually have to be the first lady"

and yeah, he loves the attention and hosting his nascar/KKK rallies, and riding around in air force one. but when it comes to leading this country, dealing with problems, actually BEING the president? it terrifies him. he doesnt give a fukk about the job, or americans, or serving this country

his problem is that he's trapped like a rat. he can't quit before 2020 because of his ego, but if there was some way he could get out of being president without losing face he'd do it in a second

Noticed Tim Ryan on CNN this morning as a surrogate for Joe..........
given biden's health, his VP has to be someone who captures almost the same exact set of voters in the swing states. im starting to wonder if just going with tim ryan or amy klobuchar is a better move. obama/bernie/warren/hillary will still be endorsing and campaigning for whoever the democratic nominee is

I forgot who mentioned his name earlier but it’s making sense more and more on some levels.

probably @Atlrocafella

i mean i look at it like this; the race comes down to MI, WI and PA. dems win those states and it's over, and those are their top 3 best chances

so if biden goes down for some reason and his VP has to head the ticket...should his VP pick be the best person to win THOSE 3 states? i'd have to say yes from a strategic standpoint :yeshrug:
