I don't care about how popular she is or isn't on HL..

Warren has always been a champion of the progressive movement...

Rethgulican agents have been working overtime in progressive circles to convince them, they were cheated by the establishment and they should abstain in November...

Knowing that, an all establishment low energy Dem ticket is downright idiotic...

You cannot win in November without unifying the base...Betting on them to show up in November because Trump is a foolish bet...Give them a reason to show up, I believe they'll do it for Warren...
Pretty sure they won't. She is not well liked among those who are even considering staying home. The Progressives who like her are already voting for Biden.
Forget catering to them, make a demographic play. A Latin or Black woman is the way to go.

Saw the Times piece on Kamala today, really good read. I have so much admiration for Kamala. I am shocked anyone dislikes her, it doesn't make any sense to me, same with Hillary. Disliking someone because they were a "cop", actually a prosecutor and AG is juvenile. And I have been through the system myself, so I know what it's like, but I also know a system is needed.

Yeah I agree. Bernie as VP would be the choice for unifying the base, but that ain't happening. Next best strategy is to increase minority turnout as much as you can to Obama 2008 levels. We already have the white moderate represented in Biden, he needs a minority woman, preferably a black women as VP.

Dude she was for keeping people in jail for cheap labor purposes. That's reprehensible.

Google it man. It's really not hard to find at all. I don't know what you consider a reputable source.
This claim comes from a February Daily Beast article. It found lawyers in then AG Harris’ office argued in 2014 that, despite court orders to reduce state prison crowding, some non-violent offenders needed to stay in the prison system to help combat wildfires. It does not detail how many prisoners, if any, ended up staying longer than required.

A spokesperson for Harris was quoted in the article saying, "Senator Harris was shocked and troubled by the use of this argument. She looked into it and directed the department’s attorneys not to make that argument again."

SOURCE: PolitiFact - Were Tulsi Gabbard’s attacks on Kamala Harris’ record as a California prosecutor on target?

So once again, what's so bad about Kamala? She's married to White man? She's half-Indian? Or is it just the fact that she was a prosecutor? Only White people should be prosecutors?

Kamala would be a great VP pick :manny:

Why do you think they were charged with trying to keep people in prison? She didn't like the answer lawyers on her team gave but they were definitely charged with keeping people in prison. Why? Is there any good reason?
So you don't like this one how about refusing to file any type of suit against Steve Mnuchin and his bank for "Widepread misconduct"?
Kamala Harris' complicated history with Wall Street will come under scrutiny in the 2020 race

In 2012, the California Department of Justice found in an investigation that OneWest Bank participated in “widespread misconduct” when foreclosing on homes, recommending that Harris file a civil enforcement action against the bank. However, Harris declined to prosecute OneWest or its then-CEO, Steven Mnuchin, despite the department’s recommendation. A spokesman for Mnuchin called the allegations “garbage.”

The OneWest issue was resurfaced in 2017 when Mnuchin was nominated to serve as Treasury secretary. She was also the only Democratic Senate candidate to receive a donation from Mnuchin during the 2016 elections, according to FEC records. Still, she voted against his confirmation as Treasury secretary.

In a 2017 interview with The Hill, Harris pushed back against criticism of her decision. “We went and we followed the facts and the evidence, and it’s a decision my office made,” she said.

“There was no question One West conducted predatory lending, and Senator Harris believes they should be punished,” Ian Sams, national press secretary for Harris’s campaign, told CNBC in an email. “Unfortunately, the law was squarely on their side and they were shielded from state subpoenas because they’re a federal bank.” The California Justice Department’s memo noted that “the investigation was hampered by our inability to subpoena OneWest,” but that would not have prevented Harris from filing a civil enforcement action against the bank if she chose to do so.

She let Trump's boy slide and possibly because he was a contributor to her. :stopitslime:
If this isn't satisfying I got more.

That's a separate issue. Also, I never said that she's never done anything wrong.

Every politician has done something shady, even your boy Bernie. That's politics :manny:.

Her Wall Street plan on the campaign was actually pretty good. She's also sponsored some anti-Wall Street bills in the Senate :manny:

The fact that you don’t see being a prosecutor as a negative given the criminal justice climate speaks volumes.
