My guess is mac is saying that because Carter believed people shouldn't kneel for the national anthem. While I disagree, I don't even hold it against him cause he a old white southern man so I expected it.
As someone else said, Carter is the GOAT post President. He won mad humanitarian awards due to him and his foundation helping get rid of mad international diseases that we don't even know about, helping get peace deals with countries, helping 3rd world human rights disaster countries enforce women and human rights, and monitoring troubled elections in those countries to make sure they fair. Plus like other people said he been legit out there building houses for people.
Look at this video below. Dude was imprisoned by north korea for 7 months over bullshyt and sentenced to 8 years hard labor and a 600,000 fine. North Korea wasn't trying to talk to Obama and his people. Carter went over there, talked to them and brought him home to Boston and his family.

Well it could have been worse, the deep state could have given him the same treatment they gave the Kennedy brothers. The Deep State rode on them...shyt saddens me to this day...real life coup d'etat in the USA.

This is disinformation...his murder was no accident. JFK was strongly hated by essentially the entire high society of the USA. The Rockefellers hated him, the CIA hated him, the Military hated him, the CFR hated him. Some of the things that got JFK smoked:
- He was for Italy having a liberal wing in the government.
- He was against war in Vietnam.
- He was against war with Cuba.
- He was against war in Indonesia.
- He actually partnered with USSR rather than tried to make them the boogeyman.
- He closed up tax loopholes that hit the billionaire class' pockets.
- He refused to overthrow sovereign governments to make way for the Rockefellers and other families to take their resources.

Robert Kennedy even knew the CIA did it but he didn't want to strike until he became President. The second he won the CA primary they smoked him because they knew he would bring Allen Dulles and team to justice for killing his brother.
I don't know all the politics but Kennedy was fiercely hated by the Billionaire Class, the Italian Mafia, the Ivy League, The Military, the CIA, and he basically waged all out war against them. He fired the CIA Director Allen Dulles, removed the CIA as the intelligence arm that informs the President, and then he started to dismantle the agency altogether. Kennedy was a straight up G and his brother Bobby was right along with him trying high profile cases and locking the Mob.
The important thing to remember is that the CIA is the branch of Government that directly serves the Deep State. All the pomp and circumstance with the constitution, declarations of war, congressional approval and all that shyt is not applicable when it comes to the CIA. If a rich family wants to take some shyt in another country, they no longer have to lobby the Congress, President, etc and go through the bureaucracy to get it done.
The CIA has its own budget, its own military, etc and can attack at will. The Rockefeller family had mining interests in Cuba that was nationalized by Fidel Castro, the Rockefeller lead company Freeport wanted their mines and equipment back and that's why why the US has beef with Cuba. If you remember, the CIA started attacking Cuba first because as I stated previously, the CIA is the branch of Government that reports directly to the real leaders of the USA and it ain't the President or Congress.
The CIA was unable to get Castro out of office so that's why they wanted Kennedy to commit the full might of the US Military on Cuba and he was like "NOPE". This pissed off the true leaders of the USA which in turned pissed the CIA because they serve the true leaders, which pissed of the military leaders cuz they always want something to shoot, which then pissed of the corporations because airlines, defense contractors, bus lines, luggage companies, etc all make billions off of war.
So to answer your question, is the Director of Central Intelligence more powerful than the President? No. But the interests/players that the Director of Central Intelligence represents and advocates for are more important and powerful than every single person in the US Government combined. So if the DCI's bosses say a President has to go, that muhfukka is gone, end of discussion.
I think they wouldn't dare to assassinate another President after they struck both Kennedy and his Brother as it would cause too much noise and the people would want answers. It wouldn't have been good optically if they shot Carter...them killing Kennedy and his Brother already had them scared of a Civil War and guess what a Civil War will do?

He'd block that bill and then get a visit and he'd get his ass back out on the floor and pass it with no hesitation.
