Lakers have no way to match contracts since they let Deng go

I think he also believes kawhi is looking at them as one of his top 2...No other reason to say Clippers other than he believes the reports...

Only way to match salaries is to trade Hayward or Horford which they aren't doing, or trading Brown or Tatum + their entire bench minus Smart which they also aren't doing

I respect Danny if he says we can contend with or without him...Hes built a solid foundation that you can lose Irving and still win...

Clippers have Tobias Harris, SGA, Jerome Robinson and all their first round picks. They clearly have the chips for a trade.
Harris and a first for butler is better than what the nets or Knicks can or will offer
Plus butler and potentially Kawhi next year with pat bev on defense would be a scary sight

On a Sidenote : look for the Timberwolves to file tampering charges against the Knicks.

Knicks front office made it clear that they will not trade their young assets. They are in a rebuilding stage right now. Why trade your assets when you can get a top 5-10 pick in the draft and make space to sign a star player next summer. That's the Knicks plan. :yeshrug:
