They’ve been dropping major AAA games for the entirety of this generation.

Astro Bot
Miles Morales
Demon’s Souls
Destruction All Stars
Sackboy A Big Adventure
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Returnal
God of War Ragnarok
Horizon Forbidden West
Gran Turismo 7
Last of Us Remake

They released a new VR platform with a big first party exclusive earlier this year. An Annual well received sports title and one of the biggest games of the year in a couple of weeks.

The software output compared to their competitors isn’t even in the same league and the competitor has acknowledged that countless times over the last year. The fact that a Sony first party game has not missed a GOTY debate says as much, and this year is no different.

And the biggest difference is Sony didn’t buy a major publisher to get those games :coffee:
Lmao, dude really took issue with the output/ announced distinction as if these Xsharts haven't been posting that little infographic with ES6, Fallout 5, Fable, Senua 2, and other mid for the past 4 years like all those games are already out and dope. @Champion you are one remedial ass nikka

Sony didn't have their act together during ps3 and it lead to then tieing at worse. "Act together" is not the problem. Thankfully xbox is on the road to rectifying the situation. More competition is a great thing for consumers.
On the road? Are they in reverse or something?

After 11 quarters on the market :
Wii: 52.62 million
PS4: 43.60 million
PS5: 41.70 million
NSW: 41.67 million
PS2: 41.56 million
PS3 : 23.80 million
XB1 : ~23.3 million (estimated)
XSX+S : 21.10 million
360 : 20.30 million
PS1 : ~17.5 million
Wii U : 10.01 million

PS5 41.7m - SeriesXS 21.1m = 20.6m gap
PS4 43.6m - XB1 23.3m = 20.3m gap
PS3 23.8m - 360 20.3m = 3.5m gap

And you all know without the shortages the PS5 had the gap would've been 25-30m

According to Jason's investigations into Sony singleplayer studio teams, the common complaints seem to be the teams were built around singleplayer storytelling experiences, not around net code, long term multiplayer engagement and sustainment, live content release schedules, etc. Even with technical and design assistance from the Bungie acquisition, studios are struggling. Apparently there are a lot of unnanounced GAAS titles still in the pipeline, all in various states for the foreseeable future.

Like wtf you buy Bungie and make everyone of your studios compete against each to make a live service product. It's literally the dumbest plan that I've ever heard.

Hardware sales doeant mean shyt as Sony is 3rd in profits. Its a plus when you have have GAAS and a legit ecosystem which Sony doesnt have. All their shyt is stuck on a top box with consumers who are casuals. 90 percent of Sony gamers are casuals

Somewhere tropic...

Jim really set Sony back 5 years by putting all of their studios on GAAS products and this is probably why he's getting canned.
"A few years ago, service games were the hottest thing in the industry. But now, even the sensation Fortnite isn’t making as much money as it once did. This bet on multiplayer games may not pay off the way Ryan and his team had once hoped."

Got all these analytics and degrees, but can't figure when something is a bubble and be surprised when it pops from oversaturation.

Can you blame them? They literally forgot Microsoft didn’t release any games for the entirety of last generation and no launch games for this generation. Then again, no games last year. Their memories only extend as far back as 6 months
To think, Nintendo caught some insane flake (rightfully so) for the endless droughts the Wii U had, but Microsoft got endless excuses with the Xbox One. At least Nintendo made it up for it in the middle of last gen with the Switch, Microsoft gave up instead.
