Jim Ross isn’t a fan of how WWE’s storyline regarding Kofi Kingston’s quest for a WrestleMania title shot was ostensibly about his race. Ross took to Twitter to comment on the storyline, which was teased as having a racist aspect to it by such elements as Big E. stating that “the game is people like us will only get so far” after Kingston was screwed by McMahon during his Gauntlet match last week.

Commenting on the storyline, Ross posted and said that “Race should never have been brought into the [Kingston] storyline. It’s a classic, underdog story. Race, Religion & Politics have no place on rasslin tv, IMO.”

Ross announced earlier this month that he was parting ways from the company, noting that the departure was amicable. He said on his latest podcast that he’s likely signing with AEW in a few days. Kingston earned his match with Bryan after the New Day won a Gauntlet Match on this week’s episode of Smackdown.

Only way I agree with "good ol" JR
full
is if he has some insider info that Kofi is losing.

Seeing as how huge booking decisions are made and changed 5 minutes before they air, I'm gonna say that is unlikely. :skip:

I haven't been watching the shows for quite some time. What happened? How did they make it about race? Or was it just the comments somebody mentioned in here Big E said?

In theory I don't like some of the race storylines, such as when Triple H was racist to Booker then Triple H won. Even the so called foreign enemy shyt was done to death. Jinder did have a nice run of promos though.

I really enjoyed the Nation Of Domination storyline when it was about race though, I remember even at the time they were supposed to be heels feeling where they were coming from.

I've always disagreed with there not being a fully black champion by now with the WWE belt. Because I think there's been people that have been worthy but never got a shot and I do think race has been a factor in that. I also don't think they know how to write for or book black talent well in general. So if I was booking I would have had multiple black champions, currently I probably wouldn't give the belt to Kofi though, I would probably give it to Big E. Big E had great potential in many areas. I think he could be a legit player for them if they pushed him properly.

We know for a fact that Xavier Woods reads these forums. Therefore, we know exactly what will happen at Mania:

Kofi will finally gain the upper hand on Bryan, and as he's just about to defeat him, Big E will interfere, viciously attack Bryan, getting Kofi disqualified. Kofi of course will demand to know why. Big E will explain, "I'm sure you've heard about ADOS..... The first Black WWE champion can't be from Ghana West Africa, wherever that is. The WWE title is OWED to ADOS, and you need to hold your own nuts, Kofi!"

The next night on Raw, Big E comes down to the ring to explain his actions further. But before he can begin, he's interrupted by Xavier Woods, who's there to point out, "Big E, you're not ADOS! Your folks is from Jamaica and some other island out there!" Before Big E can respond, Tariq Nasheed slides in and attacks Big E from behind with a copy of his new DVD about "Buck Breaking." Tariq humiliates Big E with the old Norman Smiley Big Wiggle Dance before plugging his gay DVD. Xavier and "King Flex" celebrate together as Mink Slide plays.

Whoever the fukk is on commentary these days exclaims "Is this the beginning of the Melanoid Nation of Domination?"
