He’s an old man that spent like three decades in WWE. Botches happen all the time. But I do agree he shouldn’t be doing commentary full time anymore. Only for special matches.

Even beyond the WWE slip, he is constantly stammering and unable to quickly get his point out and quite often needs the other announcer to finish his thought.

It's a shame but it happens to the best of us. The right course of action is to slowly transition him out of this role IMO.

But if you ever hear him on his podcast, he still has a big ego about all this and truly thinks he is the best announcer in the game still. So this could be a messy divorce when it gets to it.

I remember him saying the lead commentary spot on Raw is ‘his’ job. He hasn’t been full time in WWE in 12 years but it’s clear that’s where his heart is.

You are absolutely right. But every single time he makes a mistake shyt is blown out of control. If anyone has earned the right and the benefit of the doubt, it’s Jim Ross. The levels people go to are unfair. He’d definitely better in a different role nowadays though, no question.
