JR is like 70 years old, a slip up like that is going to happen from time to time. Nerds can get fukked. As far as him having no enthusiasm, what on ANY of these shows warrants a classic JR call? I'll wait. You're saying he should go home if he doesn't care about the product, um, do you not remember he is getting paid to do this? Don't a lot of you shyt on WWE and still watch their shows (definitely the PPVs) FOR FREE? All he has is wrestling so he'll always want to be close to the business but shyt he can't fake enthusiasm for it. Can anyone? Even if you think AEW is a decent product what do they have going on that can draw out an emotional or exciting call like you would expect from JR? That style of product is gone and likely by design. If anything JR has adapted to the times. He'd be out of place calling this stuff like it was 1999. I don't think that's what AEW or even WWE is going for these days.

AEW is like that girlfriend that messes around ALOT, gets money from unnamed sources, and always makes bullshyt excuses everytime she leaves early from the crib. I don't recall JR ever calling a WWF show WCW something, even in 1993. But man that mother fukker mixed up names of every tag team even in the Mid South days.
Even beyond the WWE slip, he is constantly stammering and unable to quickly get his point out and quite often needs the other announcer to finish his thought.
It's a shame but it happens to the best of us. The right course of action is to slowly transition him out of this role IMO.
But if you ever hear him on his podcast, he still has a big ego about all this and truly thinks he is the best announcer in the game still. So this could be a messy divorce when it gets to it.
