I read this book on Jay-Z last month. The author wrote that Jay has this uncanny ability of taking on a mentor, learning everything he can from that particular person, and once he learns how to execute whatever skill better than his teacher can, it's curtains for them He did it with Dehaven/Calvin Klein (introduced him to drug dealing), Jaz-O/Big Daddy Kane (introduced him to the rap industry) and Dame (introduced him to the boardroom). Had Biggie never died, I'm sure Jay would have found a way to lose his number once he got whatever he wanted from him

It's pretty easy to figure out...

Dame and Jim were supposed to be partners on a beverage together, Dame backed out of the deal and decided to start a wine business instead.
Jim feels like he stole the marketing ideas and general ideas from when they were putting ideas together on how to make this beverage successful.

It's not about money it's about stealing plans and backing out of a deal...

Jimmy is being a baby...
But this is damn near why 50 and Floyd fell out..
Friends who tried to start a brand new biz together and it didn't get off the ground...

He has multiple businesses but he doesnt attach his name to them and flaunt them because he knows people will hate and may not associate their selves with it if they knew he was behind it. He shoulda gave his homies that advice

People like Dame and Jimmy fail to realize their best asset is their ability to talk shyt.
The first thing they should have done is make a weekly Podcast.
How many cats involved in hip hop actually have a Podcast? I cant think of any.
They could use that platform to sell their struggle products...otherwise, nobody cares.

I would add NORE to that list...one of these funny old school cats could probably eat well by grinding out a Podcast and getting a following.
